My Story 'STATUS' And Voice Call Features Suggestions

With KandruIM you can stay in touch with your friends - completely independent of any commercial interests. It only store most necessary data and do not analyze your conversations. Privacy is very important for app users.
It has the following features available for users:

• end to end encryption
• encryption works with gajim (Windows / Linux / Mac)
• send pictures / videos
• read notifications
• storage of your message history in an archive for a short time (offline messages, sync for multiple devices)
• private and public conferences (groups)
• small battery consumption

Proposal

I'm proposing to add some features to the app for an improvement in the open source app development.

• Voice Call It's essential to have a voice call feature in chat apps which KandruIM doesn't have, adding this feature will give more recognition and improve the app abilities.

• Status (My Story) Status (My Story) is a a new feature which makes user to share their live events with all their contacts with just images. This feature is a unique one special, just a picture passes message to all of your contacts.

I will be giving some image mockups here to illustrate how or a similar way the discussed features should be added to the app.

• Voice Call
  

Once the the phone icon is clicked, it should be able to make a voice call with the selected contact.

• Status (My Story)
  After selecting the Status option, a tab to add live pictures or event should be displayed like the below image.

Benefits

The mentioned features has essential role to play for this app, with great benefits. Benefits of each feature are disscused here.

• Voice Call It allows user to make voice call to any of their phone contact with mobile data and not been charged expensive call rate. Local and international calls can be made easily with no carrier charges in as much as your mobile data is available.

• Status Status has a lot of benefits to offer the app users, such as passing a message to all of their contacts with just a picture or sentence on the 'My Story'. It also give live event report to users contacts if they wish to share them with their contacts.
