Affiliate programme for Steemit (Utopian.io Contribution)
Hello steemians,
The Steem blockchain is already great but we need more people to sign up, I believe that if an affiliate programme was included to Steemit many more users would come as a result of promotion.
Here is how it would work:
1- A promoter brings a user to the platform (his referral)
2- Now every time the new user claims a reward the user which referred him would receive 1% of the rewards.
Example:
The user claims 1 Steem Power so he receives 0.99 Steem Power and the promoter 0.01 Steem Power.
Downsides:
There is only one downside to this programme which is the reduction of 1% in your overall rewards for everyone but the following upsides make it worth it.
Upsides:

-Steem Power holders would benefit from having more users because their ad revenue would increase so instead of losing 1% of their earnings they might even earn more.
-More users, means more ads which means more Steem burnt which means increase in price.
-More users means more investors so the price of Steem would go up.
-All affiliate rewards would be payed in Steem Power ensuring that those rewards stay in the community.
-It would be much more attractive for influencers on other social media to bring their followers to Steemit since they would get a cut.
-Bots can't take advantage of this affiliate programme since you are only payed when you redeem rewards, not just for signing up, you need to give value to the blockchain in order to receive Steem.

Conclusion:
Together with the advertising revenue model investors would earn more, authors would get more readers, influencers would receive a cut of profits for bringing people and the Steem price would rise due to:
-You need to buy Steem in order to advertise.
-25% of the Steem collected from ads would be burnt.
-More users means more money.

My suggestion is to implement the affiliate programme together with the advertising revenue model so that the 1% reduction is covered by the advertising profits that new users would bring, it is a win-win for everybody.

That is pretty good by I think a lifetime of 1% would attract more users (usually in your 30 first days you don't earn much unless you invest heavily from day 1).
