Ban contributions about illegal apps and tutorials using copyrighted sound tracks or not mentioning the source of the track

A few days ago, I saw a post about a youtube downloader getting a high vote. Youtube doesn't like these downloaders and have sent DMCA notices to many such downloaders. Many of them stopped providing the service after receiving notices from Youtube. For proof, let me quote a relevant news article:

YouTube continues to crack down on sites and services that allow people to download videos from the site. Most recently, YouTube urged the operator of TubeNinja to cease his activities, or face potential legal action instead. For now, however, the video download service has no plans to change its course.

While YouTube is a blessing to thousands of content creators, there are also concerns among rightsholders. Music labels in particular are not happy with the fact that music videos can be easily downloaded from the site with help from external services.

To address the problem YouTube is contacting these third party sites, urging them to shut down this functionality. Most recently, YouTube’s legal team contacted the popular download service TubeNinja.

Youtube sent the following notice to TubeNinja:

I sure wouldn't want Utopian to receive a notice like that.

While funding youtube downloaders isn't a major violation of law, it still raises the question of whether Utopian should allow open source softwares that either support or encourage illegal activities. If Utopian wants to go mainstream, it simply has to follow regulations. We can't support open source software that allows downloading child porn can we?

There is no other opinion to this. I would suggest addding a section in the rules page about it. Also, I saw a video tutorial that had a soundtrack I think is copied from somewhere else. This is not something Utopian should accept. Rules need to be updated to specifically state that videos must be produced by the author and soundtracks used must be either owned by the author or author need to show proof that he is using it legally.

Utopian is still in Alpha or Beta. It is totally understandable why Utopian still doesn't have a terms of service. But at least, it needs to specifically state that illegal content no matter how lite the illegality is is is not welcome here.

Also, Utopian needs to work on a Terms of Service if it already doesn't have any.
