Proposal Description
1. Witness vote reminder
Witness of the people, by the people, for the people The left pie chart shows the ratio of all (voted or not) SP. The inner pies show what percentage of SP in each category voted for witnesses, i.e., SP-weighted turnout in each category.
As shown in Witness of the people, by the people, for the people, many people do not do witness votes. Actually I've seen many people who do not know even the existence of witness votes. Also there were many people who thought that it can be done only once in some specific period.
While not voting at all is also one way of voting, it's quite different if they actually don't know the existence or how to do.
Steem is a blockchain with DPoS (Delegated Proof-of-Stake) consensus mechanism. The importance of the witnesses and witness voting cannot be overemphasized.
Thus, it'd be much better if there is a periodic reminder of witness votes.
2. Follower / following list sorting
Since Hivemind, the default order is chronological. This may be useful (thought some people don't like it in terms of "privacy"), but it's much better if there is a way to order it in a different way, at least alphabetically as before.
Currently, it's too difficult to find someone in the lists.
While more options would be better, at least there should be a way to sort them in the alphabetical order.

1. Witness vote reminder
This can be a pop-up window such that users have to click something to proceed. The recent warning pop-up for non-posting key login is a good example.

In any sense, we shouldn't enforce users to do witness votes (since no voting is always one form of vote). However, at least users should be informed that there is witness votes.
So for users who have never voted (nor set proxy), showing pop-up in the above would be very informative and helpful.
2. Follower / following list sorting
Currently, follower/following list is shown in chronological order
But there should be a way to sort this at least in the alphabetical order.

- Increase the witness vote awareness and turnout
Many users still don't even know the existence of the witness vote. By introducing the pop-up that can't be skipped without clicking, they can be at least informed. And they may actually participate in the votes. Eventually this will help the decentralization of the Steem.
2. Follower / following list sorting
- Easy to find followers/following
For those who have many followers/following, it's almost impossible to find someone easily.

Those are good ideas and would add some value to Steemit.
I agree with you that the Follower / following list sorting will be useful, but considering what roadscape replied you 2 months ago, it is not likely to be implemented in the near future.
The Witness vote reminder is also a good idea, not sure if that should be implemented as a pop-up since most people does not properly read pop-ups, thay just try to skipped it and continue with what they were doing (personal opinion).
But I agree with you that most people does not know anything about witnesses and we must educate them if we want a better blockchain.

Hi @favcau, thank you so much for your reivew. btw that roadscape's comment is for hivemind (API level), and that's why I suggested on condenser (UI level), since as you mentioned, it will not be done near future in the hivemind level, so now each UI should implement that if they want. So they're technically different, but thank you for your time to find that, and never mind that difference, since that suggestion was just an add-on while I was writing the main idea :)
As you know, this suggestion is actually not innovative at all :) I just wanted to make this suggestion when I wrote my analysis article mentioned in the text. As I mentioned before, I'll not make a suggestion for the project who doesn't consider user's ideas/PRs seriously unless I think I have something important (in this case, witness vote reminder modal pop-up. follow list was just an addition such that everybody presumably already thought of). Unfortunately steemit condenser is one of them (many user PRs are still there), but due to UI/wallet split, maybe in some future they may have more time to consider user's ideas :) Thank you for your kind review again.

한글 요약: Witness of the people, by the people, for the people에서도 알 수 있듯이 투표를 안하고 계신 분들이 많은데 증인 투표글 올릴때마다 받는 질문중 증인 투표 자체를 모르는 분도 많더군요. 따라서 투표/프록시 설정을 전혀 안한사람은 주기적으로 리마인드 팝업(뭔가 클릭하지 않고는 진행되지 않는)을 띄우자는 의견입니다.
그리고 팔로워/잉 알파벳 소팅 좀 가능하게 해달라는 것과. 참고로 이건 경비절감 Hivemind 도입된 이후 Hivemind의 기본세팅이 그렇게 되어있어서입니다. 기본값을 알파벳으로 가자 이야기했지만 추가 부하 운운하며 받아들여지진 않았네요. 제 생각엔 그게 별 부하 없지 싶은데. 아무튼 서버가 안해주면 UI레벨에서라도 해당 기능이 있으면 좋겠죠.
ps. 원래 이 글 유토피안 보팅 받으면 명성도 68되려나 했는데 글 쓰고 나니 이미 넉넉하게 됐길래 뭐지?? 하고 보니 Witness of the people, by the people, for the people 글에 blocktrades가 하프보팅해주고 가서 그렇군요. 역시 어마어마한 보팅파워.
팔로우 소팅 기능은 조금 더 다양해지만 좋겠어요.
그나저나 명성이 엄청나네요. ㅎㅎ
일단 스팀잇이 좀 더 여력 생기기 전까지 UI개선은 잘 없을 것 같아요ㅠㅠ 지갑 분리했으니 이제 어찌될지 기대해봐야죠. 유저들이 알아서 잘 만들어주길 바라는 눈치같기도 하던데ㅎㅎ
제 기대보다는 많이 느리지만, 스팀잇이 조금씩 성장해가는 것 같습니다.
UI는 busy 에 많이 기대야겠습니다. 앞으로도 busy 잘 부탁드립니다. ㅎㅎ
스팀픽 괜찮은 것 같습니다. 오픈소스 아니라는거 빼면 스팀픽+키체인. 요샌 busy와 함께 그렇게 씁니다. UI자체는 전 busy가 제 감성에는 더 맞긴한데 안타깝네요ㅠㅠ
알려주신 데로 스팀픽+키체인 조합이 매우 괜찮네요.

에효뭘 부끄럽네요ㅠㅠ
discourage는 뭐 좀 애매하네요. 유토피안 리뷰어 문제라면 기운 빠진다보다 인간이니 좀 기분상하는 경우 생길때가 있는것이고 실제 PO의 문제라면 어차피 반영안할거라는 걸 알면 솔직히 제안할 기운이 빠지는 것은 사실인 것 같아요. 아이디어 글은 이전에도 그랬지만 정말 제가 좀 중요하다 생각하는(이번과 같은 증인 투표와 같이 뻔한 내용일지라도) 예외가 아닌이상 제가 구현할 수 있거나 유저 PR을 실제 어느정도 잘 살펴보는 곳에만 한정할 계획입니다. 따라서 스팀잇 UI는 당분간 안할 계획입니다. 지갑분리되었으니 조만간 UI작업 좀 더 활발해지길 기다려봐야죠. 감사합니다.

이 부분은 꼭 내가 해야 하나와 아마도 생소해서 그런듯 합니다.저 역시 증인이라는 개념이 아직 확실히 서지 않았지만 나름 저에게 도움이 되었던 곳에 투표는 진행했습니다.그리고 제 갠적인 생각이지만 증인 투표는 sp가 높아야 투표한 증인에게 도움이 되는거로 알고 있어 sp가 적기에 다들 관심이 없는거로 보입니다.그래서 며칠전 부터 포스팅 하셨던 kr 증인 20위 밖으로 밀려났다 하셨을 때도 선뜻 없는 sp인데 내가 도움이 될까란 생각이 먼저 들어 아직도 투표를 안한 1인입니다;

사실 sp가 작으면 현실에서 투표1개 별차이 없는 것처럼 별 차이가 없을지는 모르겠지만 결국 1표1표모여서 큰표가 되는건 현실과 비슷한 것 같아요. 실제로 지금도 별 큰 차이 없이 22위입니다.

사실 항상 한글 요약을 달아두고 있어요. 유저의, 유저에 의한, 유저를 위한 증인 이런 긴 글은 아예 따로 한글판을 만들기도 하고요. 이게 아마 유토피안 리뷰어 댓글자체가 보팅을 많이 받다보니 제 요약댓글을 찾기 힘들어지는 문제가 있긴 하더라고요.댓글에 보팅할 일이 잘 없으니 보통 두번째에 있기는 하지만ㅎㅎ 그래도 읽으려 시도해주셔서 감사합니다^^
