[Translation] [Russian] [Node.js] [Part IX - 1746 words]

in utopian-io •  last month

This is my eleventh contribution for the DaVinci/Utopian project and ninth part of my Russian translation of Node.js.

Project details

Node.js is a software platform based on the V8 engine (translating JavaScript into machine code), which turns JavaScript from a highly specialized language into a general-purpose language. Node.js adds the ability of JavaScript to interact with I/O devices through its API (written in C ++), connects other external libraries written in different languages, providing calls to them from JavaScript code.

This is my ninth contribution to Node.js this. Three pages have been translated this time. It took two days. The translation is done string by string. It was a very informative part about child process. I hope I could translate it as accurately as possible. I’ve learnt a lot about child and parent processes while working on this part of the project. Some new meanings have expanded my vocabulary like popen, pclose, stdout, stderr, shell, etc.

There are 1746 words in this part.

Words in target language – 1538.

This part contained not so much of untranslated code or words.

Most used:

phrase "child process" - 57 times;

"shell" - 22 times;

"spawn" - 22 times.

Already 4% have been translated into Russian language.

I am looking forward to translating more of this software project for the DaVinci/Utopian source.

Hello @bell1982,

Thank you for your contribution.

This is your ninth part of the Node.js project translation and the eleventh in total.

It’s the second contribution this week out of three allowed.

The Node.js project is not an easy one due to a big amount of code strings. It requires translators to be very attentive while working on this project. The vocabulary is also quite specific.

I’m glad you’ve shared your experience with us.

This part contains more than 1400 words.

Your translation is accurate, clear and easy to understand.

Thank you for your work.
