Investing in the future of STEEM: #Upvoteplankton

in #upvoteplankton6 years ago (edited)

It doesn't matter if you're a plankton or a whale, your vote is needed and it could determine the future of STEEM (and the value of all that steem you hold!)

Plankton / low Steem Power accounts are users who could be the revolutionary content creators of tomorrow, those with the flair for amazing curation or hold the creativity needed to promote the use of STEEM to new people in exciting and novel ways.

An upvote on an account already making 10s or 100s will change very little. But a vote on someone just getting started could be that magic catalyst.

So take a minute or two, #upvoteplankton and invest in the future of STEEM and YOUR future prosperity!

If you agree, please ReSteem!

I would like to thank you for this initiative @kabir88. I have been writing a post a day hoping that what I write is not too bad.

I am lucky that I seem to be having some support. It mainly comes from other family members and some really nice people from the #needleworkmonday community.

I do my best to upvote those who visit my blog and blogs I tend to frequent + some new ones I've seen probably thanks to your support... so there's 'cross' help there.

I feel a bit bad about self-upvoting but I would like to at least reach a 'dollar a day'... I certainly care to make my posts genuine.

I appreciate positive and constructive feedback. Thanks again

@cryptocariad, thanks for the comment and I am glad to hear the #upvoteplankton movement may be having some positive effects.

My advice on using steem is this, in order of priority:

  1. Just having a steem account and posting regularly puts you in the top 6% of users! Twice a day is a good amount and post loads of comments!

  2. Have fun with it and don't over think it. Share what you want to share, be human.

  3. More steem power means more rewards, so if you can. Consider buying some more steem while it's cheap!

  4. There's nothing wrong with self voting as long as it's not giving rewards to content which is above and beyond what other similar posts are getting.

Good luck and Steem On!

@kabir88

Thank you so much for the advice @kabir88. I will take on board the points you make. Best of luck to you too.

No plankton / minnows = No Steemit ... On my way to do some upvoting.

Awesome, let's spread that steem love

Upvoted AND resteemed.

GO PLANKTON!!...some day you will be a minnow like me! Just don't get discouraged. I haven't even been here three months yet, and I've made over 150 SBD, got my rep up to almost 53, closing in on 700 followers already, and almost 5000 posts.

That last stat...5000 posts...Yep, that's a key. Gotta be active and post and meet people!! set yourself a goal of 50 posts a day, and stick to it. You CAN DO IT!! I did.....

I agree with being active! Some people only post /comment a few times a day at most and then moan about not making progress

Right. This is NOT socialism. This is active capitalism! Make your own success!

That is very good progress .. did you invest some at the first or is it organic growth ?

I did put $80 in fairly early on, but have since taken it back out.

I am voting almost everyday (Ok Some days I forget) someone from the New section who doesn't get many votes

Spreading the love early is great for user retention, motivation and $STEEM adoption. Great post @kabir88!

*Re-steemed

I need to dedicate a day to do this. Or, maybe just look up one post a day from the tag.

There are so many posts, but so little time.

You're right, an upvote might be an enthusiasm for a Plankton and by this they will accept that they are in a good platform that will give value to the future.

I agree with you. @kabir88
We are plankton so that no one upvote our posts.
May I get your discord/communication link?

If you agree why haven't you resteemed the post?

dont mind but! you seems a good hearted man! i saw your activity!
as a good hearted man! you shoudn't push anyone to spread your post! you only can request!
it's my opinion! don't take it personally! 😇 @kabir88

No one pushed him to come and comment and ask for my contact details.

I didn't request anything, I just asked why he hadn't resteemed

if you enter the arena, be ready to play ;)

i love playing with word! which i call discussion! and you are a kind of person!
i loved your last line $_$

he is already in our community bro! @intisar

The support of the #upvoteplankton and #minnowuprising initiatives is vital to the future of @Steemit for exactly why you stated in this article. I am fairly new to @Steemit (1 month), and for the first couple of days I couldn't get much interaction. It has picked up thanks to the initiatives. If not for them, I probably would have stuck to @Medium (a great part/ner program) and Snip(See what I did there). The point being is that #upvoteplankton and #minnowuprising are great ways to keep people interested in @Steemit. Take the time to #upvoteplankton and keep @Steemit interesting for new users.

Hi @jakedavis224 and a warm welcome to the steem blockchain.

I am really pleased to hear you've found those initiatives helpful. It's also a great way for us to help each other and find people who just want to share genuine content and interact with others.

It is a two way street and some people are so busy looking for votes, they forget that they also have a vote that can make a difference.

Hope you have lots of fun on here, I've definitely enjoyed it since joining in January, so much so that I've purchased a decent amount of STEEM Power and I am buying more on the dips.

If I had invested in Google when I first started using it, I would have had a 20x return or 2,000%. Not making the same mistake with steem ;)
