June 24: Carve

This sketch involves some more abstraction than usual. The album cover from “Carving Desert Canyons” by @scalethesummit was used as the basis for this sketch. Check their music out on Spotify and Bandcamp!

This sketch is also an exercise of contrasting rough surfaces and the smooth strokes of the pencil as appropriate. Life is like the carving out of rough spots in ourselves and leaving behind beautiful sights which we can look back on with fondness and a sense of success!
