ULOG #05: My favorite dish
Eating sushi is one of my delusions, and to think that in my country it is almost impossible to buy it, I do everything possible to give myself that little luxury at least once every two or three months that I save some money for that.
I will talk about this little sushi restaurant that is in the city where I live called Cabudare-Barquisimeto.
It is quite cozy and has excellent attention.
For the entry we decided to order some tuna croquettes and the innkeeper brought us as a courtesy of the house other special croquettes of secret flavor that had a certain taste of honey and something salty, where both combinations made me totally enchanted.
While we finished tasting that deliciously tasty starter, we also took advantage of reading the letter and deciding which of the types of sushi we were going to finally ask for.
Between group discussions and meditating for a while, we managed to decide that each one would ask for a different dish so that we could all taste a little of all the dishes.
So, we ordered two roll services that were very original specialty of the house and we ordered two more typical of international cuisine.
Among the dishes we ordered were a salad roll when it came to a stop, the other was sweet plantains, one was an Alaskan roll and the last was a Fuji Roll:
This time I could go with my boyfriend, his brother and his brother's wife really celebrating nothing, just celebrating that we are alive and we can enjoy the benefits of life that are breathe, smile, and taste great flavors in food.
At least that is my way of thinking and it is my way of being optimistic in any time of adversity.

Do you think I made a good choice of sushi types?

Interesting to see there is still good food in Venezuela. Our media tells us no one has food there & socialism is the problem.
It is totally true, but I do not like to talk about the chaotic situation and the great famine that is experienced.
Thanks to the fact that my income is in dollars and not in the currency of the country, I live differently than 90% of the country.
Here socialism impoverished an entire country.
Thanks for you perspective. We never know if what the media tells us is truth
It's not my perspective, it's reality.
Here the media are controlled by communism, so what the international media do when telling our story is really to applaud standing up.
Somehow what they reflect of our situation falls short, we are worse.
