Ulog #4: The Story of A Survivor

Udeme was left alone in the thick island forest, after losing everyone to the tragic thunder storms.

The day began with smiles on everyone's faces. She was so excited about the journey, especially because it was her first time of travelling on a boat. Daddy and mum had prepared the luggage the previous day. Her younger brother, Mfon was equally excited. They were ready to boast about their voyage to their uncle's children immediately they arrive at Boni.

The boat took off smoothly at about 9:25 a.m that Saturday morning. Sailing was fun, as the weather and win was favourable. Udeme and Mfon were amazed at the large body of water, so wide that nobody can see the end from both sides, the sky seemed to fall on it at the far end. There was splashes of fishes passing by.

Suddenly, there was noise of a tempest from the far east. Soon the once heard noise became something to battle with, as it swung the boat in different directions. The captain tried to manage the boat against the storms, but every efforts proofed abortive.

The boat was submerged and everyone struggled for their lives. That day, Udeme lost everything and everyone.
She managed to swim to the nearest shore, a thick island.
