Ukraine - Russian War Update 2-24-2022

Breaking update on Ukraine-Russian war.
On February 24th, nearing 6 AM eastern time, the Battle for Kyiv began as Russia assaulted Ukraine by air, land, and sea, intending to encircle the capital city. Russia has invaded from three fronts: one heading south from Belarus toward Kyiv; another toward Kharkiv, in northeast Ukraine; and a third toward Kherson in the south, near the Black Sea. 95 Members of the Chernobyl staff were held hostage by Russia as they took control of the territory. About 50K civilians have fled the country. The Russian forces were using missiles and long-range artillery. The air raids continued overnight into dawn on Friday. President Biden reenacted the Sanctions that will take 30 days to implement. Japan and Australia also placed sanctions on Russia. A total of 137 Ukrainian soldiers were confirmed killed and 316 injured since Thursday, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
