Українка Інна Браверман заснувала в Ізраїлі компанію Eco Wave Power, яка займається виробленням електроенергії із хвиль.
Інна Браверман народилася в Україні, у Черкасах. Після Чорнобильської катастрофи вона переїхала до Ізраїлю, де у 2011 році, коли їй було 24 роки, заснувала компанію з виробництва електроенергії із хвиль. На той час вона не мала технічної освіти та серйозного досвіду роботи у сфері енергетики. Тому спочатку було важко.

«Коли ми відкривали фірму в 2011 році, по всьому світу існувало вже безліч компаній, які пробували займатися видобутком енергії із сили хвиль, але всі вони пішли off-shore, тобто не в офшори, в Панаму, а на 4—5 км вглиб моря на велику глибину та великі хвилі. Бажаючи отримати максимальну потужність від хвилі, вони зіткнулися з великими проблемами: по-перше, будувати електростанцію посеред моря дуже дорого, а, по-друге, доведеться багато заплатити за передачу електроенергії», — каже Інна Браверман.
Знижує надійність подібних проектів і те, що в морі висота хвиль сягає 20 метрів, чого не витримує ніяке обладнання. Плюс до цього, «Грінпіс» та інші захисники довкілля проти таких проектів: дельфіни і риби можуть застрягти в таких конструкціях.

Ідея, від якої відштовхувалась Інна Браверман та її компанія Eco Wave Power, була простою і геніальною: 90% від всієї системи знаходиться на землі, а у воді розташовані тільки поплавці. Вони приєднуються до будь-яких штучних споруд: хвилерізів, пірсів — до того, що вже існує. Це не шкодить природі, тому компанія з легкістю отримала страховку.

На випадок шторму пристрій має захист: поплавок піднімається над водою і хвилі його не зачіпають.
Після того, як компанія Eco Wave Power з'явилася в Ізраїлі, Інна Браверман почала пошук інженерів в Україні. На це було 3 причини:

«Я народилася в Україні, знаю мову, до того ж і на технічні деталі, і на робочу силу хороші ціни. Ми влаштували конкурс і з трьохсот інженерів відібрали п'ятьох: ця команда працювала з нами над розвитком проекту із практичного боку. Ми провели випробування в гідромеханічних інституті в Києві, побачили, що це працює і почали масштабувати нашу розробку: першу станцію потужністю близько 10 кВт, яка могла забезпечити енергією десять будинків, встановили в Криму, а потім пішли в Ізраїль: паралельно із кримським проектом ми подавали запит на те, щоб нам виділили місце в порту Яффи, куди і перенесли потім станцію».

Eco Wave Power реалізувала свій перший комерційний проект у Гібралтарі. Це 100 кВт система, в майбутньому вона буде збільшена на 5 МВт, що складає 15% всього енергоспоживання цієї маленької країни.
Із води можна виробляти у 2 рази більше електрики, ніж з інших ресурсів: на відміну від сонця, вода не «йде спати вночі» і не зникає.

Зараз Інна Браверман є однією з учасників технічного комітету «Морська енергія — хвилі, припливи та інші водні перетворювачі струму» Міжнародної електротехнічної комісії (МЕК), а журнал Smithsonian Magazine у 2016 році назвав її одним із головних молодих інноваторів у сфері енергетики.

Inna Braverman was born in Ukraine, in Cherkassy. After the Chornobyl catastrophe, she moved to Israel, where in 2011, when she was 24 years old, she founded the company to produce electricity from the waves. At that time she had no technical education and no experience in the field of energy. So it was difficult at first.
"When we opened the company in 2011, there were already many companies around the world who were trying to extract energy from the waves of power, but they all went off-shore, that is, not offshore, in Panama, and 4-5 km deep into the sea to a great depth and great waves. Wishing to get the maximum power from the wave, they encountered big problems: firstly, to build a power plant in the middle of the sea is very expensive, and, secondly, will have to pay a lot for the transmission of electricity ", - says Inna Braverman.
Reduces the reliability of such projects and the fact that at sea wavelengths reach 20 meters, which can not withstand any equipment. Plus, Greenpeace and other environmental advocates against such projects: dolphins and fish can get stuck in such designs.
The idea from which Inna Braverman and her company Eco Wave Power pushed back was simple and ingenious: 90% of the entire system is on the ground, and only floats are located in the water. They join in any artificial structures: waves, piers - to what already exists. This is not harmful to nature, so the company easily got insurance.

In case of a storm the device has protection: the float rises above water and its wave does not touch it.
After Eco Wave Power appeared in Israel, Inna Braverman began to search engineers in Ukraine. There were 3 reasons for this:

"I was born in Ukraine, I know the language, in addition to the technical details, and the labor market is good prices. We made a competition and out of three hundred engineers selected five: this team worked with us on the practical development of the project. We tested at the hydromechanical institute in Kyiv, saw that it was working and began to scale our development: the first station with a capacity of about 10 kW, which could provide ten houses of energy, installed in the Crimea, and then went to Israel: along with the Crimean project, we submitted a request for us to have a place in the port of Jaffa, where the post was then transferred to the station. "
Eco Wave Power has implemented its first commercial project in Gibraltar. This is a 100 kW system, in the future it will be increased by 5 MW, which is 15% of the total energy consumption of this small country.
Water can be produced in 2 times more electricity than from other sources: unlike the sun, the water does not "go to sleep at night" and does not disappear.

Now Inna Braverman is one of the members of the Technical Committee "Marine Energy - Waves, Tides and Other Water Converters of the Current" of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and the magazine Smithsonian Magazine in 2016 called it one of the main young innovators in the field of energy.
