Definition

As defined by Kuboskeey; Blogging is simply seen as the act of posting readable contents on a website (Blog). A blog is defined by a dictionary as a website that allows users to participate by sharing opinions, and discussing various topics in the form of an online journal, this can be scheduled on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. It’s something else (stupidity) if being placed on a yearly basis.

Sometime, there will be a special space where readers will be posting their comments too. Most blogs are written in an informal tone. Entries can also be called postings. A perfect blogging site is STEEMIT. It’s 100% Free, looks GREAT on Mobile, Its huge and still on the verge to overcome the trending sites, and on it, it’s not free only, you get paid in four ways (Posts, Upvotes, Resteem, and Crypto Marketing)

How to start a blog

I wish to make this process as succinct as possible, so I’ve broken it all down into three easy steps. Here’s what you will need to do before getting started.
Select not only the right, but also the best Blogging Platform –and that can wisely be achieved by navigating Steemit.com.

  1. Set up Your Domain Name and Hosting – These are required to make your site content accessible around the world.

  2. Set up Your Domain Name; here is an example and its free (https://steemit.com/@kuboskeey) or (https://steemit.com/@givonwayne)

  3. You must have a tangible reason why you are creating a blog page– Once your blog is live, I’ll show you how to make it feel amazing to your readers, which will be done in the later part of this post.

Things you need to know

If this is your first time doing such (creating a website or blog), don’t worry! The process of setting these up is simple. With Steemit been selected as your blogging platform, it’s time to set up the other two most important things to make your blog a must view by readers:

• A Domain Name - This is the address you type in whenever you want to visit or work on your site.

• A Hosting Provider- This is the platform that makes your posts accessible on the internet for others to see.

Picking the best domain name, these are the things you should put into consideration:

Keep it short and simple, never use dashes and numbers, make it an easy to spell and memorable name, never you should try and steal a trademarked or copyright name (e.g. Lulu, Wordpress, Wikipedia e.t.c.); it’s always lovely using your “name.com”

4 things nobody will share with you about blogging

A lot of people don’t realize and hardly understand the difficulties of blogging. Some go as far as thinking it’s just all for fun. My Dear, stop fooling around, blogging is recognized as a business by the wise ones. Get your head off the invisibles, and start something good today.

1. Blogging is not some of the get-rich-quick Scheme out there.

Blogging shouldn’t be seen as a simple way to get rich quick; you have got to sacrifice so many things to be a successful blogger. Most of the blogs that receive widely read daily took hours, a lot of foods, enough sleep. Some even go as far as months before they are posted. If these are considered, then, be rest assured that your consistence and courage will surely give you both success and fame in return. Blogging is hard, either you take it or leave it, that’s the truth.

#2. Blogging is a Bed of Rose? Nah!!!
Neglect the general belief that running a blog is an alternative for being jobless. Many believe it’s as easy as eaten a bugger, rather, it is more or less like cracking a nut with your teeth. Aside from constantly coming up with interesting and engaging contents, you must post almost every hour if your blog is based on news, consider the mails, give answer to questions and give replies to comments. All these will absolutely help drive visitors to your blog. Eventually, when your blog starts to grow, no one will advise you to recruit writers, as you’ll realize it’s hard to face all alone. But, if based on these (Fun, Education, Publicity and Stories), you can be an occasional blogger.

3. You are not just a damn Blogger; I mean you should be dynamic creatively

In order to grow your readership, you are gonna feel the need to be a web designer, an SEO specialist, a social media strategist, a web marketing guru, and finally an amateur photographer. You see now that, you have a lot of shoes to fill. Start now! You might be less-professional in all these areas, but you’ve got to be courageous, being a professional is not bad either; it might eventually help grow your blog’s readership.

4. The Business Side; Never get hasty about getting rich. Kuboskeey is an example here. Lol

Never should you depend on others for some crazy crowdfunding strategies. Also, its better you know today, even if you are recruited by a company, you will never be paid on a daily basis, except you have a wish to be a hard-laborer that works in the factory.

Now the Real Deal; How to Write a Blog Post

Have a Plan

What will I feed my audience with articles? When should I post? How many times will I be posting daily, weekly, or monthly; or do you wish to post yearly? You have yourself, the hunger differs, friend! What should be my article niche? I urge you should have gotten prepared a day before your posting day.

Choose a perspective

How do you want it to be? Crazy, Lovely, Funny, Comprehensive or Discipline-Based? You have got to cover yourself in this area.

Plan on how you would generate more traffic in a short period of time.

The more your audience, the more your values, and the more you earn. Ask questions, and seek knowledge online.

Be You; Plagiarism is meant for the dullards

Even if your grammar is not that good, you can be a successful blogger. But, mind you, it must be comprehensive. I hope you get it? Give it out to people you think can make corrections. They must speak the language you write and must also be eloquent enough to express their selves.

Consult

Make sure you consult sources (Journals, Magazines, Texts and the internet) before writing anything. I’m sure you also know you are yet a professor, even the professors read before giving out the remnants of the knowledge achieved via reading.

Write, by following these tips

 Get a suitable title (rough sketch)

 Generate your intro (rough sketch)

 Juxtapose your content body (rough sketch)

 Then, you re-write

 Come up with goodies for readers; they wanna know something different, or sometimes have a smile while reading.

 And lastly, proofread your post online using online formatting sites (Grammarly or Ginger), and fix your formatting.

ADVANTAGES

Being a professional blogger makes me understand the advantages, although I can be called such today because of STEEMIT, I was a freelancer before. So, be attentive! It’s my profession, and I love doing it, but it might be a secondary in the future. But, I will never leave it.

You Become your boss

For the fact that I am a man who loves freedom, I chose to be a blogger. Unlike any other job, you will have to work based on time frame (7am-4pm). With a blogging domain in your possession, you don’t need to work your ass off to make a living. You do it as you please. You are the CEO. You have got no boundaries, work while you play.

Leisure Job

Blogging is a job you can do when you are free. However, this is meant for part-timers. Play and earn. That’s the motto for all bloggers.

It improves creativity

Working as a professional blogger will absolutely improve your mental health, pumps up your energy, and help you be a better person in your office, as you would have read wide and be more experienced.

Total freedom; No one to give orders that could put you under tension.

We can say, I have mentioned this earlier, but, they are different. Sometimes when you are working with an organization, you will be filled with different responsibilities, and this sucks. Bloggers are free from this kinda tribulations. You will be well-organized. Everything becomes so simple, that you will be happy every time.

Finding clients is as easy as drinking Milk

Services such as freelance, blog design, blog consultancy, are trending in the world of communication and technology. Through a blog, you can showcase some other things you are good at. You know, this is an additional value. Its cool advertising through online content than writing an official application letter. No protocol here, just write to market yourself.

DEMERITS

There is no job without its disadvantage, even blogging is not left out of this.

#You feel alone
This is a common problem, especially among full-time bloggers. We all feel lonely while working. Focus will surely turned you to something crazy, whenever I’m busy writing, I hate distractions, except my cool musics, anybody around me should just keep quiet. I turned a beast when distractions come from another source other than my deck. Solving this? Get a partner, and work together. Take yourselves out after your busy moments, play and feel great.

Lazy trait sets in

Honestly, I find it hard to do some simple things at times. Since I use most of my day on PC, I’m always like sending my PC on an errand. I love getting everything done online, this include paying bills and shopping. But, you can try and manage to set things straight. Try and manage a good balance between your social and professional life, with this, you can always be agile and diligent.

Economy condition

I’m one of those bloggers who struggle with full time blogging. i love blogging, but when you’ve got to fill some bills in hard situations, it gets harder. This is why a blogger must have an alternative to his love (Blogging), maybe freelance or business. You this medium to seek for a LEGAL freelancing Job, smiles…..

Illness is a Great Enemy

This is natural, but could be prevented, take pills based on the sickness that disturb you. Here in Nigeria, we suffer from malaria, and for this reason, I fill my house with anti-malaria. Whenever the sign comes, I tackle it my troop of army (Drugs).

Discipline

Have said it earlier, blogging is not meant for lazy jacks. You plan, and work towards it. When there is breakage in your zeal for determination, you are doomed.

I think I have tackled some, mention yours in the comment below, let’s view it together, there is a solution to all blogging issues.

Conclusion

Blogging has changed my life, as I’m busy turning the jinx, I mean I’m still looking out on it, but will surely break it sooner with Steemit. Your life can also be changed with blogging. I hope this article helps so many Steemians and outside this realm (Steemit). I wish I help about 1,000 Steemians, but I’ve done my part. Only Steemians can help by resteeming. Get started with a blog of your own, it’s free on Steemit.

Resteem if it is worthy

Upvotes if it is worthy

comment if it is worthy

I’m not rude, but playful. I’m not for not begging for votes, but, only sorry for the wrong grammars.

Congratulations!

You made it to the end of the article, you must really hope to get started as soon as possible. Good Luck!
