Still in the Spirit of celebrating Tron’s (TRX) integration into the Steem ecosystem, it is good to look into other questions asked by @steemitblog in the campaign post so I will be taking one of the question which is What will you do with the TRX you earn on Steem?

I read through a lot of post on the tag #trxintegration and I saw every post writing about the TRX and explaining how to earn the TRX but not what they intend to do with the TRX they earned on Steemit. I could say it might be because a lot of Steemit users aren’t familiar with the Tron world which I must confess is a very interesting world. So I will be looking into what I intend to do with the TRX I earn from Steemit.

Let’s not forget that the best way to get TRX is by setting rewards to 100% power up or by curating more as curators are paid in SP and the Tron reward is in 1:1 in terms of SP and TRX coin distributed. So with that said, let’s kick the ball rolling.

Vote for Super representative

One of the numerous reason for holding TRX is to vote for super representatives while earning reward as ROI. Super representatives are like witnesses on the Steem blockchain, they are responsible for mining the blocks and verifying transactions on the Tron blockchain. Super representatives are the top 27 block producers on the Tron network who verifies transactions. Block producers on Tron can go up to any number but from the 28th block producer to as many block producers as possible, they are regarded as super partners. Most super partners do not give returns on votes for them unlike super representatives who generate blocks, package transactions and get rewarded for generating blocks. APR for voting can differ from 1% to any percentage depending on the representative. Binance gives 5.23% APR for voting, Poloniex gives 6.96% as APR and so on.

Trade to Purchase More Steem Power (SP)

On the Steemit wallet, there is a place to trade which leads to Poloniex exchange. After receiving the coins, it could be traded to get more Steem Power which increases my chances of earning more SP and TRX through curation reward when I vote on posts. The Higher the SP used to vote, the higher the reward and the lower the SP, the lower the reward for voting.

Coins can also be traded on other exchanges such as Binance and Huobi to get Steem which can be transferred back to the platform to power up. I recommend using Poloniex and alternatively Binance and Houbi for trading as transaction fees are very low.

Staking Tron on Defi

Converting Tron to other tokens or staking TRX to earn more reward on Defi platforms like SUN to earn SUN token or other tokens is another way to utilize the TRX coins received as reward. Currently, SUN do not have any staking program but hopefully a new one would be out anytime soon.

Play games on Tron Blockchain

TRX coins can be used for different purposes including playing games and casinos. I could use the TRX coins I get to improve my gaming skills and earn more when I win games. Also, TRX could be staked in platforms that support staking to earn other tokens.

My Thought

The TRX coin earned as rewards can be used for several things thereby making it a great asset to hold. I will expect that in the future, there are use cases of the TRX on the Steem blockchain as well as having developers create DApps that would work with steem and TRX (steem-tron).
