There are three types of resources in the TRON network: bandwidth, energy and storage. Due to TRON's unique design model, the storage resources of the TRON network are virtually unlimited. ⚡️

What is Tron energy? Is Tron energy free?

The TRON network introduces two quantitative resources: bandwidth points and energy. Of these, Bandwidth Point represents bandwidth resources and Energy represents energy resources.

When you transfer money in Bitcoin or Ethereum, you have to pay fees via BTC or ETH; when you transfer money to TRON, you use bandwidth and energy; when you transfer money to TRON, you use bandwidth and energy.

BTC, ETH and TRX are mainnet currencies, and tokens based on these mainnet currencies are like renting a house from the mainnet currency owner, with the mainnet currency owner deciding how the handling fees are paid.

The rules set by Bitcoin and Ethereum require token transfers to be paid in BTC and ETH, while the rules set by TRON require payment in energy and bandwidth.

TRON has two common tenants (two common token formats), TRC-10 and TRC-20: bandwidth is consumed when transferring TRX and TRC-10 tokens, and bandwidth and energy is consumed when transferring TRC-20 tokens.

If you are unsure of the token format, you can view the token format by clicking on the token on the asset's home page, enter the trade registration interface, click on the top right corner and type TRONSCAN. For example, the USDT in TRON is in TRC-20 format.

The action in your TRON account is not free and you must freeze your TRX to receive action. You can also rent energy from the leasing platform feee.io. If you have 1 million energy in your account, it will gradually recover after use and will return to 1 million within 24 hours.

If you freeze (rent) your account for more than three days by default and unfreeze (expire) your account after three days, the energy you froze (rented) will also be automatically reset to zero.
