Relational Principles For a New World

As part of a recent prompt to elicit visionary descriptions of an ideal future world, @kennyskitchen observed, “most folks can give you a list of things that they want to see an end to, problems they see in the current state of the world, etc. Ask them what it looks like in the world they want to see us create, and they tend to get pretty silent.” I’m as guilty of this in my daily life as anyone, and this limitation makes sense on a number of levels: it’s easier to think and talk about what we know and are familiar with than what we are not; also the human brain is wired to give attention to the negative or potentially threatening as a matter of survival. So to call an envisioning of the world of the future (rather than focusing on what’s broken and needs to be fixed) an “exercise” is aptly named: for me, it feels like flexing some part of my brain that is pretty well underused.

The surge in purges from online platforms this year has been pervasive. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and more like Apple and even Microsoft servers have terminated accounts of paying customers from using their services. And rather than a major uproar from the populace against such policies, there seems to be much enthusiasm in support of this massive censorship.
Much of the support seems to come from campuses of colleges and universities where a certain liberal-leftist aura has taken over in recent decades. Safe spaces and the war on "offenseive speech" is in full effect. Movements are pushing "to scrub campuses clean of words, ideas, and subjects that might cause discomfort or give offense".

Government Logic: Egypt Bans Yellow Vests to Avoid Copy of French Protest

In recent weeks, France has been the center of massive protests, organized by residents across the political spectrum, in response to a gas tax increase that would greatly impact an already struggling working class. The demonstrations have been called the “yellow jacket” protests, named for the yellow construction vests worn by a large majority of the protesters.
It was reported that so far in the clashes between protesters and police there have been at least 3 deaths, with over 135 injured and over 1000 arrests. It was estimated that there were at least 125,000 people protesting throughout the country, with roughly 10,000 protesting in Paris.

Sometimes, you’ve just gotta’ grab yourself by the shoulder, look yourself in the eyes and make yourself do what you really don’t want to do. This is called discipline. It is where we separate those on merely want success and those who are willing to pay the price.
A while back I was in a situation where I was tired, worn out, and exhausted after traveling all day. It was one of those days you might have had where you get up early to catch a flight, change planes on your way to the destination, and eventually get to the hotel room hoping you can turn in early for the evening to be ready for tomorrow’s work.

Most people think of Borat, Sash Baron Cohen's comedic alter ego, when they hear of Kazakhstan and are only faintly aware of its existence.
Nestled in the steppes of the Caucasus, the new capital of Kazakhstan has been enjoying a development boom thanks to billions of dollars in oil revenues.
The former Soviet satellite state gained it's independence in 1991 and has been ruled over by one man ever since - Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In 2009, the government decided to move the capital from Almaty in the east to the remote city of Astana in the northern territory. The president believed the location of the old capital was too close to the border with the Chinese and therefore susceptible to Chinese influence. The move to Astana, literally meaning 'capital', brought the nation's capital closer to Russia, a country that shares a long history and heritage with Kazakhstan.

My 2018: Achievements and Failures - everything is in perfect order

2018 has been incredibly full of growth for me, to the extend that the release of blockages has become such a daily endeavor that days of silence appear extremely sluggish. But, as always, we can decide whether we want to focus on what has been accomplished or what hasn't. In this post I will focus on my year on Steemit.
Glimpsing chances in seeming catastrophies
In December 2017 I started releasing my articles on Facebook, gained 700 followers until February plus quite some like-minded contacts who messaged me regularly. Yet suddenly, from one day to the other, my account has been deleted for whatever reason, and so I had a choice: drowning in desperation or seeing the huge opportunity that might be in store for me? Thing is, I got to know about Steemit in early January 2018 but didn't sign up because I thought Facebook would be enough.

You know, I understand that a lot of people are only motivated by necessity. Without it they are lost, like a plane flying in a storm without a navigation system. They just sort of wander through life, hoping not to crash into anything, praying they find a good place to land eventually. A hope and a prayer indeed, but no coordinated action.
So to get to live a quality life, they create all sorts of external constraints on themselves. It may seem like the constraints are coming from others, but past childhood it really is the person causing it themselves. They may just have others fulfilling the role of jailer. But they are the ones writing the script then casting someone in the part.

How do we decolonize our relationship with money? I have been thinking about this the past few days. The answer I came to: strong, healthy community
I think of a balanced community like a balanced family with healthy components of sacred masculine and sacred feminine. I wonder if women had more influence in how the worlds money is used would we all have a healthier relationship with money?
I want to learn how to bring more feminine traits such as compassion, generosity and nurturing into my own relationship with money. I admit it is difficult because I have many past habits that are contrary to this view.
This is why I believe that I should not be the only one leading Homesteaders Co-op. If it were just me there would not be enough balance, and it would just be @sagescrub's Co-op instead of Homesteaders Co-op.

Disclaimer: I have written in the beginning that the short path to realization does not go through the mind. Nevertheless, my own mind was a taskmaster. This post is for those of you whose minds are similar, for they demand a control over their beliefs.
Naturally, if we want to work on changing our beliefs we must identify them first, that is to know what we believe in and which worldviews that affect our experiences we hold. It may sound simple – “beliefs? It is what I think, isn’t it?” – but many people find themselves stuck already in the early stages of their personal inquiry because either they do not know what they believe in or they only manage to scratch the surface of their beliefs system.

The simple fact is that we never know what our impact will be. I just read a story of how the fall of the Berlin Wall is attributed to a church in a small city. It was about a month before the fall when 70K people gathered to peacefully pray. They took candles and laid them at the feet of the soldiers.
The troops in East Berlin were prepared for everything except candles and prayers.
A month later the Berlin Wall fell.

I just returned from our Level 2 Spiritual Mind retreat in Edmonton. While I am tired and recovering from an amazing weekend, I find myself reflecting on some amazing insights that I discovered about myself and my relationship with others. Yes, the learning never ends and I welcome every opportunity to be vulnerable as that opens myself up for new lessons.
This weekend I went through a personal process that helped me see even further into my relationship with the divine feminine. I want to use an analogy to help explain what I saw.
