Tree Tuesday - Birch sponge on the birch trunk

Piptoporus betulinus, also known as birch sponge on rotten birch trunk. This trunk was rotten because of the fact that it was inhabited by a mushroom that destroyed the wood. But even such a devastating mushroom looks very beautiful.
