Mexican Plum Tree for TreeTuesday
The blossoms on this tree have a light pleasant smell!
This tree is growing right outside the Butterfly House in the Butterfly Plant Garden where I volunteered last summer.
Everything is just starting to wake up.
As you can read on the sign this tree is a host to the Tiger Swallowtail butterfly.
That means the female lays her eggs on the leaves and the caterpillars hatch out and start feasting on the leaves!
The butterfly house is just to the left of this photo.
By early June, there will be butterflies once again flying around inside for all of the visitors of
The Heard Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary to observe!
