For the last couple of weeks, the Bradford Pear Trees (which never have pears) have began to bloom everywhere. They are shouting SPRING IS COMING !!! ... which delights most of us who don't love winter and are glad it's nearly over.
There is a line of Bradfords across my back yard. They almost make me not mind hand washing my dishes because I can see them out my kitchen window. (ummm... no... not really...LOL)
On one of the nicer days, I went out and took a few photos.
I think I am about as fascinated with the trunks as I am the trees.
This one has moss and lichen near a knot. So much fun to look at close up.

A little bit of blooms...... and some blue sky with clouds.

One tree is missing this year. My Uncle thought part of it might be leaning towards his workshop, so he made the whole thing disappear. That's also why the trees look a little thin, because he cut his side of them off ..... leaving the limbs on my side just as they were .....LOL.... They do belong to him, but I thought it was a tad severe.... but hey.... he could have taken them ALL down, so I know how to look at the thankful side. :)
I took a photo of part of the trunk of the unlucky tree, because it had a stray Yellow Bell limb next to it and I liked the contrast.
Ok... Now for the shot that will leave you with even happier thoughts, fresh, soft dinner rolls, dipped in melted butter and lightly toasted..... and then filled with very good barbecue. This is just what I just ate for supper.
I had to get my strength up to write this post..... right ?

I've tried to get my eyes full of them these past few days. Tonight and maybe tomorrow night it is supposed to get down to about 24 degrees and I don't know if the blooms will survive. They have sprouted out a bit early. :)
Lets hope they survive I had when we get a early spring and then it gets hit with a freeze

We had a couple of weeks where the weather was really mild and the sun really shiny. It fooled a lot of trees and shrubs into blooming.
I tried to tell them, but they wouldn't listen. :)

Wonderful photos, I love seeing the flowering trees! They are just starting in my area. Very nice!
I saw one tree with pink blooms on the way home. I don't know what kind it is, but it was pretty mixed in with the white trees.

Bradford Pears are so pretty in the spring. I cannot tell you how it broke my heart when I found out they were ornamental and no pears would be coming later. LOL
The yellow bush hanging out with the stump is forsythia, I think. It looks like it from here.
Yours are really blooming out. I will be having a warm weekend up here and I will bet things will really start popping out. One can hope. Thanks for sharing those beautiful blooms@

I couldn't believe the Bradfords were coming out so early and yet... .there they were.
Yes... that is forsythia, but I grew up calling them Yellow Bells.... so I am conditioned to still do so....LOL.... Learning something else would be too hard.
Our weekend is supposed to be raining.... boooooo..... but warm enough for no freezy stuff....yaaaaaaayyyyyyy.....LOL... It's a love hate thang.

We still have more winter to make it through, but I did have a flock of robin's in the yard this week and that is always a hopeful sign!
Our history shows that sometimes our biggest snow has been within the first 10 days of March. Last year got sassy and it snowed in April for the first time in my life. :) So.... we are not out of it yet, but soon.... soon.... very soon.
My daffodils usually bloom in April and they often get snowed on.
