Athirapally falls memories

This is Athirappilly Falls in Thrissur District of Kerala on the Chalakudy river. It's the largest waterfall in Kerala and further 5 kms drive down the forest leads to another one called Vazhachal Falls (second pic).

Athirapally Falls has been a favourite shooting location for several Malayalam & Hindi movie songs including movies like Dil Se, Guru & Raavan.

Best time to visit is from late June to early October (rainy season) when the water levels are high and entire rock face is covered by the waterfall.
