Misty Memories

Every now and then Nature puts on an amazing show, giving us an evanescent moment for those lucky enough to see it. This rare occurrence happened because the remnant moisture from a hurricane down in Mexico was drawn north into Arizona which dumped copious amounts of rain. It was late September and this powerful storm quite perfectly ended the Monsoon season. Sedona Arizona USA.

This special image was chosen to be part of a contest called the information finding challenge or IFC S1 round 36 which was created and is hosted by @apolymask. The purpose was to break a three way tie by asking each contestant what this image made them feel and think.

I was initially speechless but once that passed, this is what I felt from the image:

Life is a never ending cycle of chaos
Our bodies are filled with a whirlwind of emotion
But beneath it all there is beauty
Once you see through the dense fog up ahead, I promise you there is light

Like a roller coaster, we go through life with the ups and downs
We have this constant battle with the highs and lows
Through it all we must find a way to shine
Like the clouds which give us the soft essence of a gentle warm color
We must stand high on top of the mountain with the pure nature of love in our hearts

As most of you know @irvinesimages is a quiet yet very thoughtful man. He's usually out adventuring so his presence in Cryptopia isn't very known but luckily he does share his adventures with the people.

Today we're lucky enough to see one of @irvinesimages power spots. You can see from the image that it truly is releasing power and energy but at the same time the power is so strong it's not just for anyone. Hidden away behind the clouds Cryptopia's thrill seaker @irvinesimages caught this beautiful shot.

People may think it was a coincidence but there's a reason why he was lucky to catch this shot. It may be luck or it may be instinct, but I'll let you in on a little secret.

Standing over the shoulder of the photographer

I like to imagine myself standing right behind the photographer when this picture was taken. Was this person focusing on the lighting and adjusting with the settings on the camera or lost in the mesmerising textures of this vast and breathtaking canvas?

Was the sound of their breathing and heartbeat audible in the stillness of the morning? The crisp morning air felt on the skin of the face? Did the eyes trace out the line where the fog rose to meet the clouds with their gaze?

I think the beauty of this image lies in the way the warmth and glow of the sunlight is hidden behind the clouds with the slightest hint of the blue sky in the background. It is motion and stillness in harmony like the gentle green strokes against the sharp lines of the mountain, and the anticipation of the rays of light breaking through the dense morning haze.
