Holiday of flowers in the manor near Kostroma
Grass, flowers and various plants
There is a small farmstead 20 km away from the city of Kostroma. This estate is called "Sledovo". In this estate since the 19th century there is a large park with alleys. The estate itself is more than 420 years old. The first owner of the estate was a certain Kartsev. Tatar, grants land in these places. Kartsev was one of the leaders of the Kostroma land.
The first king of the Romanov dynasty also awarded Kartsev for helping in the struggle for the throne in 1616.
Since then, much has happened to the estate and its owners. But the Kartsev family owned this place. The very surname Kartsevs - well-known. There are well-known military and teachers and ambassadors to other countries.
In Soviet times, a school is organized in the mansion.
In 1919, the Traid Biological Station was opened here. In this institution, students of the biological faculty of Kostroma universities were practicing. A large settlement was formed around the manor. During the war, many went to the front. Of the students of the School of Trace, 60 people did not return home. They died in the war.
During the war, evacuated children from the besieged Leningrad lived here.
By the end of the 20th century there is a summer camp for children. There is a large flower garden and a garden at the camp.
This large flower garden and biological countryside spend every year here a ball of flowers. Once I came to this wonderful place.
I myself am not a flower lover, but the textures and textures of different plants seemed very interesting to me.
For you - my photos - traces of visiting the manor Sledovo.
