#1 Corvinilor Castle, Hunedoara, Romania

First up, @gabrielatravels takes us to Corvinilor Castle in Hunedoara, Romania. This is one of Europe's most attractive castles, which is also keeping the Transylvania legend alive. There is a lot of history to be explored here, including the significance of the raven to the castle, and battles that occurred over the years. Most shocking though, are the numerous medieval ways that people tortured each other, including being hung up and skinned alive, torture beds and thorn chairs. This castle was not a place of fairytales despite its attractive exterior.

#2 Tropea, Calabria, Italy

Next, @travelshots gets us in the mood for the European summer by exploring one of Italy's beautiful beaches in the town of Tropea. Located in the country's south on the tip of the boot, Tropea is situated 40m above the sea on rocks. The Santa Maria dell'Isola church sits on its own white rock above the picture-perfect white sandy beach. While the town offers cozy cafés, restaurants, small boutiques and shops, the highlight is the panorama terraces. From here you can watch gorgeous sunsets over the Mediterranean. Day trips to nearby Stromboli and Panarea islands are also worth doing.

#3 Bike ride, Sumy, Ukraine

Finally, @erikaflynn takes us on her first bike ride of the spring to Sumy, Ukraine. Every year when the snow melts, she and her husband go to the forest in search of the first spring flowers and the gorgeous flower path. However, getting there can be a challenge. First, you have to ride past some lakes created from dredging on unsealed and often muddy paths. As their destination comes into view another obstacle presents itself. The melted snow has created a stream, with the water temperature being only slightly above 0°C. Did they make it to the forest and find the flowers? We will have to wait for part 2 to find out.

Also many thanks to @steemitworldmap for the awesome support! <3

Cu drag! You deserve it all 💗 hugs back.

I like the coast line of number 2, but the church has history could it be as bad as skinning people alive and torture? Maybe

The 3rd picture makes me want to wonder and explore.

3 different worlds one planet, 3 different times, one moment, not forgotten. BUT I STILL CALL AUSTRALIA HOME....

Thank you for your interest but the post is about a castle, not a church where people were skinned alive :D

sorry. I didn't say that, I was implying in picture 2 with the church. That the reputations that churches are getting because of the atrocities that have been committed in them, could there be an equal parallel to what was committed in picture 1 with medieval times in the castle.
Sorry if I offended you, it was not my intention.

Ohh sorry, my bad. No of course you haven't offended me - I just miss understood :)
