this hardly looks like anything remotely related to the "Northern!" LOL :D
pretty much more like almost ... equatorial or something.
people are chilling in the swimming pools and all.

I bet a lot of people who lives in real Northern countries (with snow, frost and freezing winds) - would love to warm up a just a bit in such a nice tropical place, with clear blue sky, palm trees, so many girls in bikinis around.

Northern Thailand my friend not Northern Europe. All of Thailand is tropical. It's a real gem of a countrybto visit. Glad you enjoyed the video.

yeah, sure, I know what you mean. just saying... that all the scenery is a bit of dissonance with what usually is associated with word "North" and "Northern" :)

so, are you now based there in Chiang Mai? :)
or just staying for a while? sort of to spend the winter ...

Haha yeah, that really looks like the wonter. Im liking pai so much so far I may stay a month maybe longer, But I never stay anywhere more than a few months. Where are you from?

cool! but I suppose that's till you get settled, get kids, some attachments, etc. :)

I've also had my share of travels (perhaps can even say - still am in a sort of an ongoing travel...)
where I'm from? well can't even say for sure anymore, have lost my track... :D
after all, we're all just a "tourists" or a "visitors" in this world and in this life...
presently though spending some time in the City of Angels :)

never been in Pai, but have once visited Mae Sai. oh and Chiang Rai too. you may consider it too - sure you'll like it no less! ;)

Thanks for the tip. Pai is simply a great place to hang out, relax and let the good times roll! I'd imagine the places you listed would be a better cultural experience. Anyway it's been nice corresponding with you. Hope to see you again. Thanks for following my blog!

I know what you mean. I was looking at this one guys blg from Bali while I was in Odessa and it was getting cold with the leaves changing. It was weird.

Hi Dan! just had nearly 10" of snow here so chilling in tropical Pai looks mighty fine :-)))
Actually I had a lot of fun with the snow but i'm sure it will get old soon. Glad you're having fun and nice to see a post of real-time. Like to hear about your steemfest experience too. xo

Hi Ruth! Great to hear from you. I'll probably be one of the few that doesn't do a steemfest post. I didn't go there to blog, do videos, or even take much photos. I went there to just meet people and stay in the moment and mission was accomplished. Made some incredible friends, some of which are actually going to join me here in tropical Pai in just a few days! The best way to describe the even was about 3 months of socializeing crammed into five days. Many people lost their voice, sore throats, and simply suffering from exaustion, even just after the first day. The level of excitement with us all having a commonality of STEEM! brought an energy like nothing I've ever experienced. I'm very glad I went. Likely I'll go next year too, as long as the destination doesn't screw up my lifestyle that bad; for example I stayed in Ukraine for an extra month and saw cold weather for the first time in 10 years to attend the event. So we'll see how it goes.

I'm glad you are enjoying the snow, that was always my favorite part of the winter. I'm sure you can make a beautiful snowman! Have a great day Ruth!....Oh by the way I spent one whole evening hanging out with Mike and Kirk from the BOX! Great people all around.
