September 28 and October 1, 2018
Here is a video of my visit to the lower and upper Taquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The upper falls drop 48 feet and are 200 feet wide. The third biggest falls east of the Mississippi River. The brown water color is from the tannins leached into the soil from all the dead leaves from the dense forests in the area.
The paper wasp nest was the biggest I'd ever seen. Also found the biggest bear's head tooth mushroom I'd ever seen. The forest was full of mushrooms of all kinds.
Bear's head tooth weighed about 4 lbs.
Baby ones.
Another two wasp nests
