My first walk in Ayia Napa (Win 1 Steem!) 🇨🇾 [EN/DE]

Hey guys! In my last post I already told you that Cyprus will be my next travel destination. Now I have arrived here and by landing at the airport of Larnaka I have already visited 27 of the 28 EU countries. I can hardly believe it myself, but I only have one country left!

Hallo Leute! In meinem letzten Post habe ich euch ja schon verraten, dass Zypern mein nächstes Reiseziel sein wird. Nun bin ich also hier angekommen und mit der Landung am Flughafen von Larnaka habe ich nun bereits 27 der 28 EU-Staaten bereist. Ich kann es selbst kaum glauben, aber mir fehlt somit wirklich nur noch ein einziges Land!

My accommodation is here in Ayia Napa, probably the most famous beach and party place of the island. But during my first walk I almost felt like in a ghost town!

Meine Unterkunft befindet sich hier in Ayia Napa, dem wohl bekanntesten Bade- und Partyort der Insel. Doch bei meinem ersten Spaziergang kam ich mir anfangs fast vor, wie in einer Geisterstadt!

Well, despite the high summer temperatures here, the holiday season in Ayia Napa is almost over and you notice this by the relatively low number of tourists.

Tja, trotz der hochsommerlichen Temperaturen hier, ist die Urlaubssaison auch in Ayia Napa so gut wie vorbei und das merkt man an den verhältnismäßig wenigen Touristen.

The city itself offers countless cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, an amusement park and clean, sandy beaches.

Die Stadt selbst bietet unzählige Cafes, Bars, Restaurants, Shops, einen Vergnügungspark sowie saubere, feinsandige Strände.

Shortly before sunset I walked to the most famous landmark of Cyprus, the "Love Bridge". This rock formation can be seen on nine out of ten advertising photos of the island. Maybe it looks familiar to you as well.

Kurz vor Sonnenuntergang spazierte ich zum wohl bekanntesten Wahrzeichen von Zypern, der „Love Bridge“. Diese Felsformation sieht man auf gefühlt neun von zehn Werbefotos der Insel. Vielleicht kommt sie euch ja auch bekannt vor.

After dusk, the streets fill up and the city seems much more vibrant. Although there's no real party vibe, it doesn't get boring in the evening!

Nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit füllen sich auch die Straßen und die Stadt wirkt viel belebter. Wirkliche Partystimmung kommt zwar trotzdem nicht auf, aber langweilig wird es einem abends auf keinen Fall!

Also the most beautiful beach of the country is near Ayia Napa. I will tell you in the next article if this beach really is so amazing. Oh well, and there is also something to win. So the one of you who guesses fastest which EU country I'm still missing wins 1 Steem. Small tip: If you scroll through my posts a bit, you can exclude a lot of countries! 😉

Auch der wohl schönste Strand des Landes befindet sich in der Nähe von Ayia Napa. Ob dieser wirklich so traumhaft ist, werde ich euch im nächsten Beitrag erzählen.
