The projects are Mount Dubai Peak and Hatta Falls which will allow local people to build 200 holiday huts. Annual income can reach more than 100 million dirhams or IDR 393 billion. The project will play an important role in promoting domestic tourism and environmental sustainability.

According to the Sheikh, Hatta became a model for small towns in the region. In a short time, Hatta has turned into one of the most important tourist destinations in the Emirates.

The Hatta development plan, which was designed in 2016, has contributed to an increase in tourist demand, even reaching 15 times as of last year. The number of tourists increased from 60,000 in 2016 and to more than one million in 2020.

"In the Hatta development plan, we have approved 6 new projects, a new design for the peak of Mount Dubai at an altitude of 1,300 meters, a cable car with a length of 5.4 km, Lestari Waterfall, an international hotel and a hiking trail to the highest peak in Dubai, Mount Umm. Al-Nisour 1300 meters," said Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The project will become an important tourist attraction in the United Emirates. The cable car will pass through the Hatta Dam Lake and Upper Dam Lake for the hydroelectric power station project implemented by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in Hatta. Interestingly, tourists will pass through mountain ranges until they reach the top of Umm Al-Nusour.
