The Royal Feeling At Amer Fort - India

in #travel5 years ago

If you are a history lover and more importantly a vivid traveller to look out and to explore for forts and royal palaces , then Amer Fort is a must visit place to be.

Situated in the pink city of India, commonly known as Jaipur of Rajasthan State. It is one of the nostalgic place that is more popular and ever visited by many people from all parts of the world.

This is the first glimpse of the place , which happen to be seen from the road as soon as you enter the city. Situated on top of the Hill is one of the biggest princely fort in Rajasthan. Built by "Maharaja Man Sing" in 1592.

The visiting hours to this place is from 8AM. Till 5 PM. But do make sure to have enough time to get nostalgic with the fort tour.

Made out of sandstone and marble, Amber Fort consists of a series of four courtyards, palaces, halls, and gardens. At its entrance lies the primary courtyard, known as Jaleb Chowk. It's here that the king's soldiers assembled and paraded themselves around. Suraj Pol (Sun Gate) and Chand Pol (Moon Gate) lead into this courtyard.

I made number of visit to this place in number of ocassion. Looking from the road , it looks to be unreachable as the grand walls on top of hill looks gignatic.

Amer is epitome of Rajput royalty and culture. Amer fort is perfect example of Rajput Military Hill architecture. Strategically built over ‘Cheel ka Teela’ (meaning home of high flying hawks), it signifies the elevation of the fort.

However reaching to top is pretty tiring if you choose to walk on your foot. It has long pathway till running down from the entrance till the public road at bottom.

However in case you unable to take the long walk, there is other option available too, which can make the journey to top more memorable with some royal touch.

Remember, we often read about The kings and queens taking Elephant ride , same way the tourist department have made several arrangement to take you to the palace on top of Elephant. Making your trip more nostalgic.

Of course such ride comes with a price, as they are chargeable. The rides are available right down the road side, with many elephants and care taker standing ii n a big courtyard.

Riding on top of elephant and getting closer slowly to the top has some more awesome feeling. Passing through the Zig-Zag path and Looking at the extreme gignactic walls of the palace getting closer is very pleasing.

Those yellow marble fort which was unreachable for some moment is easily approachable and able to watch the grand royal taste of Mughal Architecture. It is a wonderful feeling one could get.

The elephant will drop you at the top courtyard, sorry I unabale to get you the picture, but it is a big courtyard that can accomodate thousand of people at one go.

Amer Fort is quite famous for its sprawling garden, courtyard and craftsmanship. Tye glimpse can be found everywhere. From the top, looking at the bottom you will get to see some amazing view along with the royal Amer garden.

Infact you can watch the entire city from top. The craft work at the palace is quite breathtaking too, as you will get amazed with so many hand work all over the places.

Thank you for sharing. I mostly watch science shows and Nation Geographic channels on the television. I love shows that cover this kind of information. It is so fascinating. It has to be wonderful to see it in person.

Sure...very hard to find one...but I am bit lucky to found these in my local jungle...may be due to rainy days we get to see them in the outer part of jungle....may be there will be more in the interior
