Swiss waterfall - Staubbach

Switzerland is famous for its majestic Alps, mirror lakes and, of course, waterfalls and Staubbach I remember most of all its grandeur and noise of falling water.

This most beautiful waterfalls in Switzerland just cannot be forgotten. It was described and Goethe and Byron in his works, today it is considered one of the most famous natural attractions of Switzerland. It is located near the town of Lauterbrunnen, which is situated on the territory of the Canton of Bern. Tall Staubbach reaches almost 300 meters. However, with the weather I was unlucky, it was raining, but where to go :)

The name of the waterfall got from the German word "staub", which means "dust". Because the water falling from the rocky cliff, twisted by the wind into a fabulous funnel, which effectively splattered in all directions. Looks like it's just magically floating weightless mist. The spectacle is impressive, if not for the cold, wind and water, I would look at the clock. And from a distance it reminds of a thick fog.

The area around is very picturesque, fresh, clean mountain air, but the crowd of tourists come here to see this miracle of nature.

And if you want to go upstairs and prepare the ascent is quite steep. By way of lots of narrow and rocky trails, you will meet and an indoor tunnel, which was slippery going, as the top constantly dripping water and the shoes of course must be very comfortable.

From the height of the waterfall and the surrounding nature just seems magical. We saw here several skydivers, extreme jump from such a height, but many still took the risk. However, transitions to the waterfall is poor. If there was one, would never have dared to go at that steps...

Think about a waterproof Cape, and then get back just after a shower. Upstairs, all very wet, they do get wet. The waterfall roars so that give you goose bumps, it was very scary, but where to go. I wanted to see for myself.
