Portugal Trip#3 – Rede dos Mosteiros - Zona Centro

Boa tarde amigos do Steemit,

Hoje vamos fazer uma breve introdução às nossas próximas publicações. Visitamos os três monumentos que constituem a Rede dos Mosteiros Portugueses Património da Humanidade. São estes o Mosteiro de Alcobaça, o Mosteiro da Batalha e o Convento de Cristo que, entre eles contribuíram para o desenvolvimento territorial e histórico da zona centro de Portugal.

Mosteiro de Alcobaça

Começou a ser construído em 1178 pelos monges da Ordem de Cister e foi inaugurado em 1252. É aqui que estão os túmulos de D. Pedro e Inês de Castro, donos de uma das histórias de amor mais conhecidas e tristes do país. è uma das 7 Maravilhas de Portugal.

Mosteiro da Batalha

O início da sua construção foi em 1386 fruto de uma promessa feita pelo rei D. João I por ter vencido a Batalha de Aljubarrota, a qual lhe assegurou o trono e a independência de Portugal. A sua construção durou 150 o que explica a mistura de estios artísticos utilizados.

Convento de Cristo

A sua construção teve início em 1160 e foi sendo expandido ao longo dos seculos seguintes enquanto era ocupado pela Ordem de Cristo. Este monumento está ligado a muitas figuras importantes da história de Portugal, incluindo os Cavaleiros Templários.
Para nós é mais grandioso dos 3. Para além de ser o maior, a arquitetura é espetacular. É constituído pelo Castelo Templário de Tomar, a Charola Templária e igreja manuelina adjacente, o convento renascentista da Ordem de Cristo, a Mata dos Sete Montes, a Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Conceição e o Aqueduto dos Pegões.

Today we are going to make a brief introduction to our next publications. We visited the three monuments that make up the Network of Portuguese Monasteries World Heritage Site. These are the Monastery of Alcobaça, the Monastery of Batalha and the Convent of Christ, which among them contributed to the territorial and historical development of central Portugal.

Monastery of Alcobaça

It began to be built in 1178 by the monks of the Order of Cister and was inaugurated in 1252. It is here that the tombs of D. Pedro and Inês de Castro, owners of one of the most known and sad stories of love of the country.

Monastery of Batalha

The beginning of its construction was in 1386 the fruit of a promise made by king D. João I for having won the Battle of Aljubarrota, which assured him the throne and the independence of Portugal. Its construction lasted 150 which explains the mixture of artistic styles used.

Convent of Christ

Its construction began in 1160 and was expanded over the following centuries while it was occupied by the Order of Christ. This monument is connected to many important figures in the history of Portugal, including the Knights Templar.
For us it is the grandest of the 3. As well as being the largest, the architecture is spectacular. It consists of the Templar Castle of Tomar, the Templar Charolais and adjacent Manueline church, the Renaissance monastery of the Order of Christ, the Mata dos Sete Montes, the Hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Conceição and the Pegões Aqueduct.
