Travel Diaries - Hot Air Balloon ride experience in Dubai
Dubai is a very glamorous City, everything here is larger than life. It's a multicultural place where you would find presence of every part of world. You can also say Dubai is a concrete jungle, all around wherever you see you will see tall sky scrappers, you would really have to stretch your neck to get a complete glimpse of them.
During our visit we visited many places and I had shared some pictures in my previous blogs on Dubai.
Dubai offers a lot of sporting events and other activities to keep their tourist busy, like Sky Diving, Paragliding, Hot Air Balloon, Desert Safari and many more such activities I did my first Hot Air Balloon ride experience in Life in Dubai on our visit, It was a thrilling experience for me. I am not a very adventurous person and I always go for very safe activities. I am happy with the small expeditions.
We had to leave our hotel at 04:00 A.M. for this activity. The place was away from the City in the Desert area and it was around half an hour drive from our hotel. we had gone in winter time and the temperature was around 15 degrees in the morning when we left, I was actually not prepared with my clothing as I did not expect Dubai to get that cold. My Tour guide offered me his jacket which was my savior. Once we were up it was rather ok since the fire in the Balloon kept us all warm
When we reached the venue we saw people were working on setting up the Balloon. They are not stationed there, so every morning they would bring the whole equipment and set it up and once done they would again pack up everything and leave.

We are at 3500 feet high, though it didnt seem like.
We were up for almost an hour and then time to come down again. This was a bit inconvenient. The basket is small and you need to get into it and sit down. If someone is heavy weight this will surely be a challenge.
Finally we land and managed to get out :-)
It was a wonderful experience for me.
