My visit to Food Street in Bangalore
Over the weekend I went to Lalbagh Botanical Garden and then to VV Puram Food Street. VV Puram Food Street in Bangalore is a heaven for Vegetarians. It is a street full of food stalls along both the sides and only vegetarian food is available, that is the speciality of this place. You cannot find any non-veg items in any of the stalls in whole street.
This place is nearby the iconic MTR(Mavalli Tiffin Room), which has its own rich history. I won't go into those details, you can learn more about it here. This food street is 1.5km away from Lalbagh.
All the South Indian delicacy are available here. You can find different variety of Dosa. One should try Obbattu, which is very delicious. Another fast selling item is the 'Spring Potato Crisps'. Cool drinks, lassi, fruits are also available along the way.
Every year during January, annual food festival named 'Avarebele Mela' is held in this place.
I know many of my friends and collegues who prefer only vegetarian food find this place amazing.
If you happen to visit Bangalore then don't miss place. The stalls are open from the morning but the best time to visit is the evening. Usually, it is crowded in during the weekends.
Fruits like guava, strawberry, apple, water melon etc were also available.
There are other places in Bangalore which are very famous for non-veg food, i'll cover that in some other post.
