Rose Parade off to Glorious Start!

So much energy and passion goes into the Pasadena Rose Parade. This is our family's second time attending it in person and there are few things in life that are as truly marvelous.

The event captures much of that which is grand and good about our culture. I really appreciate our dear friends from church, the James family as well as the Underhills (pictured above). They coordinated efforts so that we (as well as a few dozen others) all had great saved seats, front and center at the beginning of the parade route.

It is a fantastic family experience, celebrating groups literally from all around the globe. Gratefully we live close enough to the parade to just walk to it. But many come from all corners of the globe.

And the trip is so worth it. Where else can you see the best of the world come strolling by you in an exhilarating display of human skill and unity? It is all here in sunny Pasadena on the first day of the already glorious year.
