Þórsmörk, Iceland

Þórsmörk is a mountain in Iceland. It is one of the most famous hiking area in Iceland. This mountain ridge was named after the THOR, the god of thunder, the renowned son of ODIN. Even it is also known as THOR's Valley. Look at the view, also the veins gives you a glimpse like the lightening effect from the thunder god's hand.

The name 'Þórsmörk' refers to the mountain ridge in between Krossá, Þröngá, and Markarfljót rivers. The valley provides growth to ferns, moss, birch-wood and other small shrubs.

During the spring season in 2010,  volcanic events at  Eyjafjallajökull, the whole are area were covered by a thick layer of volcanic ash. It took several months to return to normal.

Sometimes the paintings too fail to give a fantasy look like this natural art done by the SUPREME POWER
