Since Lake Erlich lies in the Rhine plain, the terrain is flat. The cycle paths are well marked and are often used by cyclists who follow the Rhine. In the summer months, cyclists have the opportunity to stay overnight on the recreational area at Lake Erlich. There is always a place for a small tent. Further information can be found on the website of the operator.	Da der Erlichsee in der Rheinebene liegt, ist das Gelände flach. Die Radwege sind shr gut ausgewiesen und werden gerne von Radtouristen genutzt, welche dem Rhein folgen. Auf dem Freizeitgelände am Erlichsee haben Radtouristen in den Sommermonaten die Möglichkeit zu übernachten. Für ein kleines Zelt wird sicherlich immer ein Platz gefunden. The surrounding area	Umgebung
With a good bike you can explore the surrounding area even in areas that are difficult to access. Within a radius of about 25 km around Lake Erlich there are a little more than 160 registered waters. This means that when you leave the marked cycle paths, you get into very rough terrain, where it is not possible to go forward with a normal bike. Sometimes paths simply grow too small. I can recommend carrying a spare hose and air pump from my own experience.	Mit einem guten Bike kann man das Umland auch in schwer zugänglichen Gebieten erkunden. Im Umkreis von ca 25 km um den Erlichsee gibt es etwas mehr als 160 registrierten Gewässer. Dadurch gelangt man, wenn man die gekennzeichneten Radwege verlässt, in sehr unwegsames Gelände, wo es mit dem normalen Rad nicht möglich ist, vorwärts zu kommen. Manchmal wachsen Wege auch einfach zu. Mitführen eines Ersatzschlauch und Luftpumpe kann ich aus eigener Erfahrung empfehlen.

Rhine / Old Rhine	Rhein / Altrhein
About 2 km away from the lake the Rhine flows. The Rhine floodplains are well-known. Here it is also called the Amazon of Germany.	Etwa 2 km entfernt vom See fliest der Rhein. Bekannt sind die Rheinauen. Man nennt es hier auch den Amazonas Deutschlands.

The Rhine can be largely followed on well-developed paths. However, you often have to cycle a large arch through the Old Rhine until you can cross the Old Rhine. Some roads are also a dead end. If you have a lot of time, you can experience beautiful adventures here. Otherwise, cyclists should follow the signs.	Den Rhein kann man auf gut ausgebauten Wegen weitgehend folgen. Durch die Altrheinarme muss man jedoch öfters einen großen Bogen radeln, bis man den Alt-Rhein überqueren kann. Manche Wege sind auch eine Sackgasse. Wer viel Zeit hat, kann hier schöne Abenteuer erleben. Ansonsten sollten Radtouristen doch eher den Beschilderungen folgen.
