Laos - Pha Ngeun (Vang Vieng) hike ⛰️
This hike in Vang Vieng has to have provided some of the best views of the surrounding mountains and villages that I've seen in South East Asia ! We ended up completing the hike twice the second time for an early sunrise mission 😍
To get to the mountain that you climb up you could hire a bike but we ended up walking which took us about 20 minutes in the scorching heat !
The climb to the top of the hike took us and hour the first time and 40 minutes the second time it's pretty steep and tiring. Once your near the top there are ropes to assist you up the final 30 feet.
Once you've reached the top of the mountain you'll be created with a view covering 360 degrees and a little shack on the edge of the cliff to escape the sun. There is a makeshift shop at the top which sells drinks as well as noodles as you'll be starving after all the climbing 😂 Everyday one of the locals has to carry all the items to the top of the mountain crazy if you ask me !!
Getting up at 4am to go and climb up the mountain has to be one of the best decisions I've made, it was exhausting but beautiful as you'll see in the images below 😍
Here's a collection of photos from our first and second climbs ⛰️

Wow. Some nice shots looking over that valley, that's for sure. As one of the editors for @steemitworldmap’s daily #traveldigest, I would love to see this post pop up on http://steemitworldmap.com. If you're interested, simply go to the website, search for your location, click on code (down the bottom) and add a short description. It will then generate the code you need to copy and paste into your post (not the comments) to have it show up on steemit worldmap. There’s also a FAQ section if you get a bit lost.
You can find out about the project here:
