Santorini
Recently, I visited a Greek island, Santorini.
Most of the time, as you saw in a previous post, I was working really hard, but I managed to save some time to take photos.
The capital is called Thira and it is mostly build upon the cliff, which provides a great view, especially to the volcanic island and the sea.
There churches. This one is a rare for Greece catholic church.
And this is an orthodox one.
If you want you can ride donkeys and move around.
And there are street musicians for your entertainment
A good part of the city of Thira consists of small streets , typical for Greek isalnds.
There are stores, cafes and restaurants.
And a lot of folklore.
Having a good camera doesn't always mean you take good photos.
Santorini is famous for it's sunset. People say it is one of the most beautiful in the world. Of course, there are other beautiful sunset in the world, I will let you be the judge.
I think I should return to take some better photos . :)

Do you find it still has its authenticity or did tourism take over entirely?
It's one of the most touristy islands of Greece. Don't expect much.
Take me there!! Now please - it has been FAAAAAR TOO LONG since I smelled the Aegean! :)
I think we have agreed what you will do this summer. Just book a plain ticket... :)
Stunning. I used to love going to these Islands. I went to Ios a lot but didn't make it to Santorini, which is meant to be the most beautiful.
It's never too late ... :)
Sighs I really need to visit that place again!
Sit on that bench at Fira, far from the partying crowd, facing the Caldera at night and eating those freshly made donuts with honey and cinnamon!

Ευχαριστω. Ναι , ειναι πολυ ομορφο , αν και σε καποια πραγματα βαδιζει στα χναρια της μυκονου...
Ναι νομίζω πως ισχύει αυτό, δεν έχω πάει βέβαια στη Σαντορίνη μόνο στη Μύκονο, αλλά αυτό λένε οι πιο πολλοί.

Ωραίο post. Αγαπημενο νησι η Σαντορινη. Εχω παει 8 φορες και μαλλον θα παω αλλες τοσες. Απο το καταστημα σουβενιρ με την κουκλα που φοραει την αρχαιο-ελληνικη στολη εχω ψωνισει!!!! Το αναγνωριζω με κλειστα ματια το μερος!
Ναι οντως ειναι πανεμορφο . Και τα στενα με τα μαγαζια ειναι τοσο κιτς που δεν μπορεις να μην τα λατρεψεις . :)

A packet of φαβα was almost 10 euros ... Didn't dare to ask about wines ... :)
