Travel blog road trip through Scotland Part II

The weather here in Scotland changes by the hour! The next day's we are heading to the isle of Skye. A beautiful and very popular part of Scotland. We booked a ferry crossing from Mallaig to the harbor of Armadale but do to severe weather combine with high tide the ferry was closed for that day. That results in a 3 hour detour by car.

Do to that detour we past Eilean Donan Castle. The castle was founded in the thirteenth century. It was a very pretty castle on a little island connected to the mainland by a bridge. That bridge was built during its restoration in the early 20th century. Because it is close to the main road it was a very touristic and a very instagrammable spot :p It looked like a fashion shoot but is was more of an artistic thing i think :p

Our next stop was Neist point, we plande a sunset shoot over there the next day but the weather window was favorable for us so we just drove on. Another 2 hours by car. Neist point is on western edge of the isle of Sky and has got a pretty lighthouse on the rocks. I hope that the wind is going to be less so i can flight my drone over there.

Sunset looks like it's going to be pretty good that night and there where a lot of people thinking the same as uss. A Lot of photographers were watching the lighthouse, i counted many tripots.

That's one of those things i don't like so i left the group and went on a hike on that part of the island. After 2 minutes i didn't spot any buddy anymore and is was totally in my elements! No people, just nature and a lot of hard wind so i did not fly my drone but i did made some epic sunset shots. On my hike i stumbled on this big gap.

As you see the sunset was killing it! If you go there you really have to watch the weather reports. If it's only raining you don't want to be there. If i take sunset pictures i find it very interesting for the composition to put something in the picture!
So usually i make myself a selfie :p like this last one!
