Today Dora & I went to a famous winery here in Tokaji Wine Region :)

This wine region is located in the north-eastern part of Hungary and is one of the best wine regions in the world to produce sweet wines with noble rot.

Come with me to Oremus Winery!

Oremus was founded by a Spanish company which has several wineries around the globe. Here in Tokaji Region, it is one of the well known. They produce only white wine and a lot of delicious dessert wines like the Tokaji Aszú and also the Tokaji Eszencia.

The Eszencia is very expensive because you can only produce 1 liter per hectare. We also drink it there and one bottle of the new vintages cost 65.000 HUF ( equals 213 Euro or 250 USD).

⬆ We started by train in Szerencs

⬆ Dora was playing with her smartphone and calling some people

⬆ For me, it was just too hot and I had to lay down a little bit. No aircon in trains is terrible!

⬆ Finally, we arrived in Tolcsva where the winery is located

⬆ You will also find there a memorial with the typically broken crown of the Kingdom of Hungary

⬆ After we visited the production plant, we got very warm jackets because we would make the wine tasting in the cellar with constant 10 degree Celsius
