It's a great day to do amazing things once again!
I have probably shared this dolls a couple of times with you guys by now, but I couldn't take a trip to the giraffe center and not visit this Merchandise store once again. I was actually dropping by to see if they had something different from the last time I was here, which is over an year ago, but it turns out they hadn't
I guess we could say this is their signature artifacts, the Maasai Dolls.
I am not even sure who buys them, but seeing that they are still in business, there's certainly a clientele they cater to right? I personally don't think I'd be interested to buy these, but they are beautiful to look at, and very creative too.
The original Maasai Outfit is red and black, but I feel the Blue and the other colors they have adopted over time are equally great. We call this the Maasai Shuka....
This last photo is actually of some birds. The guy said you can use the small birds as key holder if you please, looks too big for me, but I can see myself buying these for an outdoor space.
Would you ever consider to get yourself such kind of artifacts?
I think they are pretty colorful and would probably make some great decor for a creative space or just a local traditional restaurant theme. That's the only way I can think of to make use of these. I wonder what those who buy them use them for.
All in all, I am glad I managed to capture some better quality photos this time round. If I recall correctly, I didn't have my camera with me when I was there last so this was totally worth it!
If you ever visit Giraffe Center in Nairobi, be sure to check this store. You can't miss it, it's the only one on this space and you can even get to watch the men curve this dolls first hand! Very impressive work I might add.
