Quick Vacation to Savannah, Georgia! - Valentine's Day Getaway

Happy Monday Steemians,

Sorry for being absent the past few days on Steemit...My beautiful girlfriend, Blair, and I decided to take a little Valentine's Day trip to Savannah, Georgia! Savannah was filled with great food, music, drinks, and scenery.

We started off our weekend eating dinner at The Olde Pink House. This restaurant has a lot of history behind its delicious food. It is Savannah's only 18th century mansion. I enjoyed a succulent, crispy half duck and Blair ordered a fresh strawberry arugula salad.

After a nice dinner, we went to a bar called Prohibition. Check out these mouthwatering drinks..

Blair's drink was one of the best and most unique drinks that I have ever had. A pistachio fizz, which consists of Beefeater 24, Faretti biscotti, pistachio syrup, lime, cream, egg white, soda. This truly tasted like a milkshake.

On Saturday, we strolled all around the city. We bounced around from the City Market, Riverfront, and Forsynth Park.

Brunch at The Ordinary Pub was one of the highlights of the weekend. To begin, we ordered the bottomless mimosas..what a deal that was. Not only do the waiters never let the glass become empty but they even give you a "togosa". Savannah has an open container law, meaning you can walk around the city with drinks.

A few mimosas later, I enjoyed one of the best brunch burgers I have ever had...The farmhouse burger, consisting of a 50/50 blend of premium beef and pork, topped with shredded duck confit, a quail egg, arugula, goat cheese, and pepper jam on a fresh baked bun with fritter tots. What a combo of ingredients. Blair ordered a tasty arugula and beets bagel with sliced almonds and creamy goat cheese to start her day off.

We decided to head to Forsynth park after this monster brunch to walk it off a bit..

From there, we headed to Riverfront. Riverfront was similar to a large market and full of cool, touristy shops. We were able to sample honey, nuts, and chocolates at a few different stores.

We ended our night at City Market..and what a good idea that was. We spent most of our night at Treehouse listening to live music from the band, Jupiter Highway. The band consisted of a guitarist, pianist and a drummer. These three guys put on a show to say the least. This happened to be one of the best live performances that I have ever listened to. The songs they played ranged from the 60's to present day with most of their songs being from the 90's so we were able to sing along as well.

Sunday Morning, we woke up and decided to go to a nature trail to reflect on our great weekend and enjoy the calm weather. We headed a little south towards the Florida Georgia line at ended up at Skidaway State Park. This ended up being a perfect ending to our vacation.
