It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday. I would like to say huge thank you to all the participants for their great entries. The amount of entries yesterday was pretty good with high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. I encurage you to check the etnries as they reall were alll stunning.

My submission is from the White Sands National Monument near Alamogordo, New Mexico. This out-of-the-way park sits on a giant dried up lake. This national park shares a border with the White Sands Missile Range, which houses the "Trinity Site" where the first atomic bomb was detonated. It also used to be the back-up landing site for the Space Shuttle.

What an amazing image from @thesloopjohnb for the North American Challenge. He is submitting some amazing images time after time. I have visited @thesloopjohnb blog and upvoted his post called: Friday Street Photography Entry. @thesloopjohnb stunning picture from New Mexico is qualifying for a weekly challenge that will be competing against the winning images from the past continents as below and the one coming from today's South American Saturday.

It's sunday again. Today want to share with you another picture of the Guilin Fisherman. Back in the days they were real cormorant fisherman. Nowadays they work as models for tourists 😜 The riverbed of the Liang River and the famous Karst landscape mountains in the background.

This was taken on our casual 30+km hike around the amazing Arthur's Pass in New Zealand. We started to feel some kind weird vibration/noise and saw that a train is coming behind us, it was really sneaky.

If you say ocean you have to like this view of a sundown as seen from a small fishing boat in front of the French coast. It's amazing how the water reflects the colours - just a magical moment!

Not many people will ever witness this epic view... starting 20km from the closest town, I ran 18km in scorching heat to the top of the Keiskie mountain in the semi-desert region of the Hantam, South Africa, to take this photo.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday week #8 – winner announcement!

@nenio European Thursday entry:

This photo was taken at Trieste port. Part of the city with its hills can be seen and the image it is framed by the ship, which gives an interesting composition. Trieste is in Italy but it has strong Austrian influence this can be noticed by the architecture of the city.

The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of the individual daily winner announcement posts and then entered to a mothly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 150 SBD in total.
