Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @davedavis91:
"Take it all in". The fresh Air, beautiful surroundings and some Czech Pilsner ;) Voila, you got your perfect Day. I've posted pictures of this place before but that does not matter. It is still incredibly pretty. After a days hike, you finally reach the cold and wet gorge with the sun hitting the edges of the forest above you. Time to head home ;) Hrensko, Edmundsklamm.

We drove down to Cesky Krumlov from Prague and found it an easy drive on the major highways. Found in the following days that country backroads were much more interesting and scenic. Cesky Krumlov was thankfully less crowded than expected so walking around the town and outskirts was just a visual delight. Lots of excellent places to eat by the riverside so able to enjoy a few Eggenberg pilsner while taking in the sights of the castle looming overhead and also watch the rafting action on the river.
Just a picturesque place one can never get tired of. What a great image to be featured in today's contest. Thank you and have a great weekend. Tomas
Aerial view of the little Silesian village of Uvalno as seen from the top of the Hans Kudlich Lookout Tower. Located close to the Czech - Polish border, Uvalno was recently voted the Moravian - Silesian Region village of the year.
It looks like a very peacefull place. I love the view!
Thank you :) Czech countryside is very peaceful ;)
Side view of Galerie Harfa, one of the largest and most popular shopping centers in Prague. The dinosaur on the roof is not just a decoration though - there is a whole Dinopark located on the roof of the shopping center. The park comes with life-size dinosaur models, Mesozoic nature decorations, paleontological playground for children, Cinema 4D, misty trees for cooling down in the summer months and other attractions for kids.
Photo of guards in the Prague Castle, they come from the change of guard at one of the gates of the Castle. There is a special ceremony whenever there is a change of guard, this happens regularly. This ceremony is also used as touristic attraction, since the tourists take videos and photos of it.
I have frequently seen musicians at the Charles Bridge, and they create a wonderful atmosphere, and they are normally good musicians as well. Here is a picture of some of the guys playing!
they look so friendly too ~ 😆✨ ~
Church of St. Peter and Paul, Řeporyje, Prague 13
Prague is getting bigger. Height and width. It also absorbs the surrounding villages. This, Řeporyje, stood in the 10th century. And the church is from the 12th century, at least its tower. The rest of the church appeared and changed later, especially in the 18th century when the Jesuits owned it.
In the vicinity of the village of Želízy, situated north of Mělník, various sculptures are carved into the sandstone rocks. For example, Devil's head, Snake, Sphinx, and many others. These sculptures were carved here by the sculptor Václav Levý, who lived in the years 1820-1870 and has a lot of sculptures that can be found in various places in Europe.
Though some may say there are more splendid gothic churches all around Europe, I find atmosphere inside this particular church very tranquilizing. With its massive columns holding up archs, it makes you feel small whether you are a religious person or not. Moreover, situated right in the middle of the main city square surrounded by three golden modern fountains located at places of ancient fountains once built in the square. The church tower is the tallest church tower in the Czech Republic and you can love the view of Plzen and surrounded villages from the top of it. All these for a small fee. Don't forget to notice beautiful vitrage windows once inside. Definitely must see when in Plzen.
The collection features a number of significant objects linked to important milestones in the history of the automobile in the Czech lands. The National Technical Museum’s automobile collection features some 120 automobiles.
Any trip to Prague wouldn't be complete without and evening stroll across Charles Bridge. the architecture of the bridge is incredible but it's always very busy with hundreds of people taking pictures, street performers and artists and a few beggars across the way as well, so don't think you'll be having a quiet romantic stroll during peak season!
