Our Inventor is another year older!
One of the BEST parts of travel is being somewhere magical for birthdays! We feel so blessed that we were able to make it to Ohio in time to celebrate a birthday with the Grandparents!
We work as a family, we give to each other everyday. We know what it means to sacrifice for each other. So, when a birthday comes around we try to give that one family member a day that's theirs to treasure.
Well, this particular birthday was special.
Since we've moved away in 2010, we had yet to be around other family to celebrate, so there was a lot of discussion about what we would do!
The Inventor is very adventurous! Words like ziplines, paintball, and go-carts were really thrown around. But they were either too expensive or needed more than a day to plan, so we decided that a place called Scene 75 would be it!
It's full of arcade games with lazer tag and go-carts right there!
Plus the Grandparents said it was their treat!
We were so excited to get there and play!
We started righ away with lazer tag. We teamed up 3 against 4 and any sort of family ties were severed! We ran, jumped hooted and hollered!
I wish I would have gotten pictures during lazer tag, but it was too dark. Suffice it to say that I annihilated the Yeti! He didn't see my amazing sniper skills coming!
Our next stop was the bar, we got a quick drink!
The kids got a round of rootbeer...a rare treat for this bunch!
While wondering around the arcade we found Dance Dance Revolution! Its glowing lights beckoned us in like crazed lunatics!
We left Scene 75 yesterday happy, tired and excited for some gigantic homemade burritos!

why would anyone want to go to Ohio? we lived there for 25 years in Akron.
so what is that conference and what do they do at those things? I see meetups everywhere but no one has been able to tell me the reason for them.
Lol we just recently came out and told the public we have kids. We knew as we traveled it would be harder to keep them private, but we would still like their names and faces off of the internet so we gave them nicknames. Our oldest does have an account though @thegreatdayne for his writing and photography.
Our trip to Ohio is to visit family lol. We're actually speakers at the comference talking about our journey and what Steemit has done in our lives. The meet-ups and conferences are for meeting other Steemit users and learning more about the blockchain.
I should also add that Lola is a main character of a freewrite series I'm doing. @enginewitty is one of my biggest supporters! So he affectionately gave me that name on the alliance discord. So, it seems like we have a lot of names! Haha
wow! well how can you guys just afford to travel around? what do you do for income? lol. I mean..you know, how is that possible? I love the idea but how? how exciting though! love it.
Haha well, we live a simple debt free life and follow what we feel the Lord has led us to do. He always provides ๐ We've had a slew of different forms of income and right now we use Steemit.

but I didn't know anyone was actually making money to live on from steemit. I thought the whole thing was to build your account and then maybe someday it would pay off.

It's all about what you hope to get from it. There's so much room for entrepreneurship and learning how it can make a difference for you. My husband and I are co-founders with @steemcafe with Global Homestead Collective, @ghscollective. We are uniting homesteaders and anyone who would like to be or are self-reliant from around the globe. We also have our own tokens, Globies, to give to members!
