State parks and Springs around Orlando (most tourists don't know about)

Wekiva Springs is a beautiful State park located in Central Florida. This is one of the many hidden gems located in Central Florida that many don't even know about. Its a great place to take the family with a tropical and peaceful atmosphere. Right on the outskirts of Orlando its still close to the city ammenities and theme parks, yet removed enough to have a peaceful, quiet, relaxing day.

Wekiva Springs offers many activities including Canoeing, Swimming, Hiking, and Wildlife Observation. With most of the park being well shaded by many types of tropical foliage staying cool in the Florida heat is not a problem. The nature trails and rivers are connected to Rock Springs another beautiful park that I may cover in a future post.

Wekiva also offers camping and RVing. With the friendliest and most helpful rangers around. All public facilities are also maintained very well.

Wekiva Springs is the first of many beautiful and natural attractions I'll be posting about. With this being my first post any comments and criticism will be greatly appreciated.
