Eagle's Nest Luxury Villa, Koh Yao Noi Island is a Tropical Paradise
Searching for a luxury island paradise can often be a difficult task. Finding that perfect balance of unspoiled natural beauty and modern conveniences is often challenging. Eagle's Nest is ticking all my boxes, and is a real hidden gem.
* * EAGLE'S NEST LUXURY VILLA * *
I'm not a big fan of Phuket, its busy, its noisy and I have a difficult time relaxing there with all the touts. However, perhaps Thailand's best kept secret is an island a short 30 minute speed boat ride away, Koh Yao Noi. The island is mostly national park, and is home to a few luxury resorts and high-end villas, plus a friendly local community. TOURING KOH YAO NOI ISLAND ON A MOTORBIKE & SIDECAR
Koh Yao Noi is one of the 44 islands which make up the Phang Nga Archipelago. The striking limestone karsts are visually stunning, you may remember them from the James Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun".
Eagle's Nest is one of a handful of luxury villas on the island, and occupies a commanding position on a hillside overlooking the spectacular turquoise bay and beyond. The villa embraces the philosophy of "Barefoot Luxury" and has everything you may want for a perfect holiday. Large infinity pool, spectacular ocean views, modern kitchen, flatscreen tv, wifi, and of course lots of places to lounge around with a book or cold drink.
Each of the 4 bedrooms have amazing sea views and ensuite bathrooms. Wake up each morning to the sun rising over the sea and islands in front of you. Then start with a waterfall shower or a dip in the pool.
Eagle's Nest actually sits among the treetops, and the property blends perfectly into the natural tropical vegetation which surrounds it. The island is home to the most amazing selection of birdlife, including the Sea Eagles after which the property was named, and the beautiful Giant Hornbills which are truely a sight to behold.
The villa is fully catered by local Thais who take great pride in preparing wonderful food and showing you the best that their island has to offer. I was lucky enough to spend a weekend here with some friends, and I can tell you I really want to come back. Both the island and the villa represent those unique qualities that combine to make a perfect vacation.
