Kauai, Hawaii; Part 3

One of my favorite little town in Kauai is Hanalei. As you drive west from the manicured lawns of Princeville; you almost immediately see Hanalei valley to the left. If it is just past sunrise (or not) you typically stop and take pictures:

Light is typically gorgeous in the morning, and this is one spot cloudy sky actually helps. There is often a strange mist that hangs in the air, as in this case completes the mystic of the valley. I talked to a few fortunate souls who lives in this valley; they do complains about mosquitoes :)

On the other side of the road, half a click down, you can see the Pacific Ocean to the right. So you stop and get your camera gear out again:

If you look down you can have a glimpse of the town of Hanalei hidden under the thick cover. This place gets a lot of rain, thus the magical green.

Then you finally drive through the tiny town and you arrive of the largest crescent bay of the islands; the Hanalei Bay. You can walk up to the peer, and watch the first group of surfer trying to catch the waves. I tell you it is magical.
