¡ HELLO STEEMERS !

This time I want to share with you an experience that marked my perspective on everything around me. I had the great opportunity to travel with my friends, my work team, to Guadalajara Jalisco to attend the Talent Land 2018 technology event!
I don't know if you've already heard of this wonderful event, but for those of you who haven't, it's an event based on technology and innovation with the purpose of searching for and uniting real talent to accompany it in its development and to link it with companies, professionals and institutions in the country.
For me this excellent opportunity came at the right time! I have never been so receptive to information and the desire to learn. This event was a very strong combination, like a bomb, I'm writing this and I remember so many experiences, that the emotion returns with force to my mind and body.
This would not have been possible without the support of FairCoop!
I've already published a post summarizing what FairCoop and FairCoin are, but here I'll summarize what it's all about.

FairCoop is an open, worldwide cooperative that self-organises through the Internet outside the boundaries and controls of nation-states. Here we have an overall objective and it is to promote the decentralized economy, to make possible the transition to a new world by reducing, as much as possible, the economic and social inequalities between human beings and at the same time to contribute to a new global wealth accessible to all humanity in the form of commons.

The global economic system chosen by this society is the FairCoin cryptomoney.
Its value is determined by the community and this makes it never devalue, this makes it one of the most stable cryptocurrencies. FairCoin's ongoing revaluation process contributes to the distribution of wealth within the community that uses that currency. Cooperation, ethics, solidarity and transparency are key principles for us in creating a truly just system for all.
With the support of FairCoop, FairCoin implements fair value trading on a global scale. The Cooperation Test (PoC), its innovative blockchain mechanism, is the unique consensus algorithm developed for FairCoin. It requires much less energy than other blockchains, while allowing extremely fast transactions! At the moment it is the most ecological and resilient cryptomoney.

A few months ago we became part of this wonderful movement as the first local node in Mexico, naming ourselves as the Beehive Node. When we learned that Talent Land's technology event would be held here in Mexico, we asked for the support of our friends at the cooperative in order to promote the movement and raise awareness of people to opt for this new fair and autonomous economic system. That's how we were able to undertake this 7-day trip to the city of Guadalajara...

To spice it up as they read..

At first I was dying of nerves! and guess why?..

because I'd NEVER been on a plane before!! 🤣

Arriving at the airport was when I felt the most excitement, we were about to start what we had been preparing for weeks...

That's when the jokes about plane crashes weren't so much fun anymore....

IMG_20180331_124508366.jpg

The strongest emotion for me was the takeoff, I couldn't imagine the adrenaline rush I would feel. It was as if the plane was going to fall down and suddenly it took its strength back to keep flying, what a horror...

When we arrived we felt quite tired, I suppose it was because of the excitement and stress of the flight. We decided to go to lunch and settle down in the place where we would stay.
At first we had agreed to stay with a friend but due to space constraints we could no longer stay with him, so we decided to rent a room, which was easy thanks to this same person who supported us in getting the contact.
We were quite comfortable and since the price was affordable there was not much of a problem.

Arriving at the site we settled in and planned to go out and buy food and utensils to meet everyone's needs. When we finished and planned our week, we decided to go out and get to know the beautiful city of Guadalajara.

Fortunately some friends lived very close to where we stayed and we agreed to go out to explore the city, relax and enjoy our arrival.

We met Chapultepec and its surroundings, I had the opportunity to taste its mini burgers that, to be honest, were EXQUISITAS! and you know what the best part was? that were at 19 pesos!... incredible!

I also had the opportunity to taste the delicious tiger nut milk and strawberry water so well known in that place! <3

After eating and relaxing, it's time to have fun!

The first two days were very interesting, we visited many places and I realized that the people of Guadalajara are very funny! is a city that I definitely recommend a lot to visit.

When the day came, we got ready to go to Talent Land! excited and more than ready we asked for an Uber and headed to the event.

When we arrived we were very surprised by the number of people waiting in line to get in.... It was crazy!
We didn't know how long we would be waiting in the sun to get into the event, but thanks to the blessed VIP tickets they gave us, we were able to make it easy and save us all that time! I felt like a rock star passing behind the establishment just before giving a concert 🔥!

Already inside the event I didn't even know where to look, there were so many things!...
Contests, drones, impressive cpu's, fighting botargas, crazy sounding stages, simulators, skaters, workshops, hostesses, conferences, cars, food, virtual reality games and much more...

Wow, those were some pictures I was able to take.... there were so much everywhere that I even missed out on areas to get to know in depth. Without a doubt the best technology-based event I've ever been to.

It was in the Future Land area that we spent most of our time, where we had our stand to welcome people interested in FairCoop and FairCoin.
There were also some interviews where we were able to make the concept of the co-operative and the use and benefits of its currency better known.

We talk and connect with a lot of people! During the course of the week we realized something specific, and that was that people were more interested in the Cooperative and its self-organization than in the currency itself.
Of course, there were people who based all their attention on the currency and its ecological nature, but in the end most of the people interested opted to go deeper into the topic of FairCoop and its method of organization and management based on assemblies, the support it provides and the creation of local nodes.

It was a unique experience! and it was really comfortable compared to what we thought it would be at first.
The initial plan was to stay right there at the event, as it had a camping area and showers, but a misunderstanding arose with the accesses to those areas and from the first day we arrived at Talent Land we were notified. The VIP access we had did not include access to the camping area!

From here in Puebla we contacted and met Neil Haran. A wonderful person who supported us with facts and advice throughout the entire journey of the event, from weeks before to the end.

When Neil noticed the misunderstanding with the accesses to the campsite, he supported us by staying at the Guadalajara Plaza Hotel, which was only a few blocks away from the event.

Sometimes I think things happen for a reason and honestly thanks to the misunderstanding we had a much more comfortable stay, everything was arranged so that we could enjoy this experience without limits!

I'll leave you some pictures of the room..

And that's not all... it included breakfast buffet ♥

I really loved every day we spent in that beautiful city! the places, the people, the food, the event... EVERYTHING!

Friday the 6th was our last day there. Our flight back to Puebla was leaving at 1:00 pm and as we had left the night before to say goodbye to my Guadalajara, we got up late!

We barely had time to have breakfast and say goodbye to Neil and the team we were living with that week.
When we arrived back at the event to say goodbye again, we were surprised that there were some people waiting for some very interesting information about FairCoop and FairCoin, we thought it would be good to clear their doubts before we left, we had little time but we never thought it would take so long... and it did.

We finished talking to these people, said goodbye to the team and ran like never before to the hotel for things.
While we were getting our bags down we asked for the uber! I've never seen anyone put things away so fast before!
Here in Mexico, we say "matches" to people who help store utensils in supermarkets when paying at the checkout counter. Well, I only saw a super match save things so fast once, I thought it was impossible until I became one that day.

The Uber arrived quite quickly! but we only had 40 minutes to get there before the plane left us....

As we approached, we watched the cell phones every 5 seconds, all of us silently and praying hahahaha in the background knew we would not get there, and guess what?

We didn't get to ☠

We missed our flight and there was no way to get the money back. We made quotes on all the local airlines but either there were no flights that day or it was very expensive, so we resigned and decided to quote bus tickets, only there was a small problem, we didn't count on missing the flight and for obvious reasons we didn't have the money.

We asked for Neil's support again, and explaining what happened, he helped us buy the tickets back.
Without your support I don't know what we would have done.

We waited about 6 hours at the airport as the bus left at 11:00 pm. It wasn't a long wait, I mean, we had fun while the time was coming, talked, joked and planned all kinds of things, it was fun even, at least for me 😅

The time was getting closer and we decided to arrive at the bus station once and for all. Once we were there we printed the tickets, smoked some cigarettes and waited for the remaining time to finally return to Puebla.

You know, this trip was definitely a complete experience! That week we learned what we would have learned in months, we met wonderful people. Personally, my perspective on learning and how to use time changed.

The best cure for an old, young, healthy or hurt soul: a good jolt of perspective... a journey!

I am very happy to have lived this and excited to live what is coming, the time is frightening but it teaches.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post! I will soon be writing more about upcoming trips, events and experiences 🔥

Enjoy as much as you can! You are luck.
