Def. agree re approaching an important moment in human history. Sure sounds like the "machines will replace humans and we'll laze around the pool" cry we heard at start of Industrial Revolution. Most ominous is the idea that the huge problems humanity faces are overpopulation and education. How will AI solve those? Not quite on topic, but I'm not convinced that a UBI would actually help. I totally get the idea and think it makes logical sense, I just haven't seen a place where giving regular folks "free" stuff actually helps them in the long run. Injured/sick/mentally ill/not able to care for themselves is something totally different.
