807,000km Toyota has turbo installed...what a difference!

This might look like an ordinary Toyota 1HZ 4.2 diesel engine, but it's not. Its just had one of our water-cooled Turbo Systems installed at the ripe old age of 807,000 km! That's right...over 3/4 of a million kilometers. This is a true testament to our stance on aftermarket turbocharging: we installed and set it up correctly so there was no damage at all to the engine. That old myth about 'you can't turbo an old engine because you'll damage it' is exactly that...a myth!

After some initial checks on this engine, such as undoing the oil filler cap while the engine is hot, and checking for any excessive fumes at idle speed, we found that it was in amazing condition.

From there, we installed the turbo system and exhaust system as we normally do. We also gave the engine an additional list of works which included a new timing belt, tensioner, water-pump, full service, injection system tune and radiator flush. After we completed everything, we road tested the vehicle which it passed with flying colours and the customer drove away with a BIG smile.
Obviously after suffering with a non-turbo for so many years he was happy as Larry, lol!
