Foot Forward: 'Rediscovering God's Amazing World' Part 3steemCreated with Sketch.

Few days ago I posted the "part 1 & 2" of the segment of my original theme "foot forward". This is intended for how we do things with our adopted Matigsalog Tribal Community here in Davao City, Philippines.

And later, I decided that what I will earn here will be one of our source to fund our projects for them. In part 2 we talked about how the area can be productive on its own resources without them selling little by little their homeland.

In good perspective, we are killing social injustice

Tribal people are bribe just to sell land for investors. With no proper education and knowledge about business, up until now, they are still bound for "one day millionaire" ideals. If I have Php 100,000 (roughly $2000) I can buy hectares of land that I can develop later on. Like this; Hills View, one of the resorts in the area. The hill was bought around 10 sacks of rice 20 years ago ( 1 sack of rice before is around Php 1000 or around $20) per hectare and the owner bought 200.

Later within the 20 years, the owner develop a resort that showcases unique view of mix mountains and flats. Covered by clouds in early morning or late afternoon. My pictures was taken August of this year and surprisingly covered by misty cloud in high noon.

Came along with an idea, we wanted them to stop selling there lands. We proposed to RENT a few hectares and turn it into a resort. So, WHY RENT? Objective is stopping them selling there lands right... So, why not RENT the land, they will have profit plus shares from the resort and the best part is, the land remains to them... And so we started building a tent city going up to there mountain.

But this is not the highlight of the project. The current will be the source of funds for a AGRI-ECO-TOURISM development. Since the tribe owns 36000 hectares, we will adopt it for AGRICULTURE to suffice food on the table. Ecosystem, save the nature and its habitats (we found out they have wild boars, some hawks and will monkeys living). Tourism, for protection of the nature.

Building more compassionate world

We wanted to end discrimination today and this will be our model community. No indigenous people living outcast from the city. No tribal people deprived from education and awareness. No community dependent to the government for food, shelter and clothing's and there will be no city people greedy of bribing tribal society.

There are plenty of beautiful places and spots for tourism in my country, Pakistan. The security situation in the country had been an issue, but it has now improved a lot. More and more tourists are visiting my country, especially the northern areas. I suggest that you check it out!

That's good to transition. Well, we are doing the best we can to materialize things for them :)
Thanks for suggesting it. Why not give it a post so that I can follow through. Looking forward to that :)

Okay. That's a great idea for a post. Will work on it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Looking forward to it :)

Hi @dante01, very interested to hear about the Agri-Eco-Tourism project.

Do you have a business plan for this yet? Will it be self financing, or will you be raising start up funding for it?

If so, will you be raising the funding directly yourself, or through, possibly @YouAreHope?

Hi Sir @pennsif, I honestly don't know about the business side yet but self financing is for sure.
I will ask first my Pastors if what will be their option. If they'll find it OK then I think I go for funding to @YouAreHope then the proceeds/earnings will be back to @YouAreHope program to help more.

I will look forward to learning more about the project as it develops.

We can't wait for the change and for we will impart for them.
Thanks for dropping by!

Wow, that really looks like an amazing project. Thanks for sharing all of the great pictures. It looks like a nice place! :)

Thanks for dropping by @apanamamama! Yes it is... We aim that it will open soon.... so much work to do... we will visit again tomorrow to finish the viewing deck and clear the pathway for the climbers. :)
